Oj Simpson Trial
The O.J. Simpson trial was one of the most recognizable cases in American history. It went on for nine months. There were 11 lawyers representing the O.J. and 25 working around the clock for the largest prosecutor's office in the country. The opinion of the Jury was for the defense, not guilty. I agree with them. It would have been crazy if O.J. was convicted because the evidence was not properly handled or accounted for, the main police officer handling the case was a racist man and the defendant was black. And people who were testifying on the prosecutor's defense were proven to be lying under oath.
First, the evidence such as blood drawn from O.J. was not handled the way it should have been, there was time when the blood was in polices possession that would have gave them plenty of time to go to O.J.'s home and spread it around his property and all over the driveway. Some of the blood found at O.J.s home did have a preservative in it that is added by police and is not in a person's blood. That shows that the blood had to have gone through the police before it got on O.J.s property, proving they planted it there.
Next, the main officer helping out the prosecution Mark Fuhrman was accused of being racist and of planting evidence to frame O.J.. He denied being racist under oath and he was later in the trial found to be lying, he was heard on a tape saying the word "nigger" and other racist things. He was also accused of planting a bloody glove at the Simpson home and planting bloody socks in O.J.s room. The blood on the socks was not consistent to what it should look like if they got blood on them when they were being worn, it was more like they were splattered with blood when they were off the defendant.

Most of the forensic evidence the prosecution had brought out was shown to be no good by Henry Lee, an expert in forensic science who was hired by the defense. Almost the whole case that the prosecutors argued was questionable and the jury's job is to

He fled from the police but was later arrested and found guilty of both murders. On June 13, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, were found murdered outside of Simpson’s condo. Her husband, at the time, was the very famous and very wealthy professional football player Orenthal James Simpson, also known as O.J. Simpson. He fled from the police and was arrested. Simpson was the key suspect in both murders, but after a lengthy trial, he was later exonerated on all charges. How could this wealthy man not get charged with murder, when he was clearly the perpetrator?…

Steve Arey and Terry Jordan were young, inexperienced lawyers who should have never even been considered for a capital case. Judge Persin, the presiding Judge in the case, however, decided on these two gentlemen because other more experienced lawyers refused to take the case because of the huge financial sacrifice it would require. Albeit public speculation that Judge Persin's previous profession as a prosecutor had led him to heavily favor the prosecution, his decision stood. The two prosecutors who Arey and Jordan would be opposed by were Mickey McGlothlin and Tom Scott. Both prosecutors had far more experience than the defense lawyers, but that didn't stop Judge Persin from appointing Arey and Jordan to the case. It was an obvious mismatch, intentional or not, and was just the beginning of many problems that would arise for the defendant's case.…

The prosecution's is boring and they say no one has the right to kill someone, the defense could provide one person to say Carl Lee Hayley was insane and he was a convicted felon. Then comes jakes; He starts by apologizing for his little experience ands says to decide with your heart. He proceeds to tell them a story; “Close your eyes. Imagine a little girl walking home from the grocery store when two men pull over in a truck and snatch her up, tie her up, and rip her clothes from her body one after another repeatedly raping her. Then, when they are done use her for target practice tearing all of her flesh to the bones, urinate on her, then comes the hanging. The branch is too weak and she falls back to the earth. They pick her up take her to Foggy Creek bridge and throw her off the edge, falling 30 feet she hits the bottom. Broken body soaked in their urine, their semine, and her blood. Now picture this little girl white.” This closing statement wins the case for them and Carl Lee is innocent due to…

Rodney Glen King lll was an American taxi driver in Los Angeles, California. Tragically, he became nationally known after being identified as the victim, beaten by Los Angeles Police Department (L.A.P.D) officers following a high- speed car chase. Due to the incident, it caused riots all over the nation. California in particular, was the initial place the riots started. Early Sunday morning around 12:30 on March 3, 1991, Rodney King, along with two additional passengers, Bryant Allen and Freddie Helms, were driving on Interstate 210 when officers Tim and Melanie Singer, husband-and-wife members of the California Highway Patrol, noticed King's car speeding on the freeway.…

    Why Is Oj Simpson Guilty

    • 1042 Words
    • 5 Pages

was guilty was because of the evidence at the scene and on his belongings. 1.5ml of O.J. Simpson’s blood was missing from the lab, so the defense made it seem that the blood was stolen and then planted at the crime scene. “The prosecution of Simpson’s case presented compelling DNA evidence, including matching bloody footprints, hair follicles and a glove found near Simpson’s home containing blood that tested positive to the blood of Goldman”(101.5, 2012). Blood from the killings was also found on the handle of O.J. Simpson’s Ford Bronco, but the defense said it was planted on his car from the blood missing from the lab. A bloody footprint at the scene was also found that was identical to O.J.’s shoe print. The killer also left a glove at the scene of the crime but when O.J. tried the glove on, he made it seem like it didn’t fit and the defense also made the court believe that the glove was placed at the crime scene by a racist cop looking to help convict O.J. The evidence found and collected was plenty enough to convict O.J. but the defense flipped the whole trial from being about murder to racism. I do not believe the prosecutors did a well enough job to charge O.J. because of their lack of patience or because the blood from the crime scene was stolen and made it seem like the white cops were out to get him. Either way it goes, O.J. had a good lawyer or a good enough lawyer to beat the…

The 1995 criminal trial of O. J. Simpson for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman has been called "a great trash novel come to life,".No one can deny the pull it had on the American public and the fans of the great O.J. Simpson. During the early reports of the murder of the wife of the ex-football star, and the cunning , head turning sports announcer had not caught people's full attention, Simpson's surreal Bronco ride on the day of his arrest most definitly did. Police accumulated enough evidence against Simpson to indicate that he was guilt of the murders and they sought and obtained a warrant for his arrest. But there was an agreement worked out with Simpson's attorney, Robert Shapiro that Simpson was to turn himself in…

In this article, “ ‘CSI Effect’ Hinted by Blake Jurors,” Andrew Blankstein and Jean Guccione talk about Robert Blake’s murder case. He was accused for ambushing his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley on May 4, 2011. This article is really interesting, because it is confusing at first. It points out arguments that will both support and not support the opinion that “CSI effect” should be blamed in courtrooms. Lorie Moore, one of the jurors, was swayed by the testimony of Rebecca Markham and her husband, Andrew Percival who said they saw Blake walking along from the direction of the restaurant in the minutes before 911 call was made reporting that Bakley was injured. The failure to link Blake with the murder weapon also proves that Moore had a reasonable doubt. There was no enough evidence to prove Blake guilty. Moore and other jurors expect much more than just testimonies, such as DNA fingerprints or gun residue. Barry Scheck, president of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of the O.J. Simpson defense team, said that, “There is an expectation that people from the crime labs will have super technology to resolve a case.” However, at the end, he said that “CSI effect” was not a factor of Blake’s case, but the absence of evidence.…

My personal opinion in the OJ Simpson trail is that he was guilty. I believe that OJ was guilty of the two murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994. There are many different things that convinced me that OJ did in fact commit the murders. The number one thing that got me was that fact that there was so much of OJ’s DNA all over the crime scene. Also, not only was OJ’s blood over the crime scene there was blood at his home as well as on his ford bronco just proving to me that he was definitely there at the time of the murders. OJ was also know to have a violent past involving his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson I think OJ saw her with another man (Ronald Goldman) and it pushed him over the edge to commit the murders. From my experience involved with the San Diego Police Department I have seen that only the people who are guilty will run from you. So when we saw in the video OJ Simpson in the famous bronco purist with LAPD, it was icing on the cake for me in regards to him being guilty. I believe with the overwhelming evidence against OJ that he truly was guilty of committing the murders. Its simple to me, if your not guilty don’t run.…
