Chapter 2
1. The chapter begins by explaining in detail what the bunkhouse is; it’s a long rectangular building with whitewashed walls and small square windows.
2. Against the walls were eight bunks and over each bunk there was a box nailed on it so that each one can have its belongings in it, like soap, razors, powder, etc.
3. Then came an old man and opened the door and showed George and Lennie the place, he’s a man without an arm and with his stick like arm pointed the two bunks.
4. George saw a yellow can and questioned about it and the can said that it killed lice, roaches and scourges
5. The man that was cleaning the bunkhouse with a push broom explained about it and said it was from a blacksmith that was always clean and neat.

The boss came in and was talking to George, Lennie was quiet like he promised
8. Then, the boss was suspecting something because Lennie was quiet and thought George was putting something over Lennie.
9. So, George was saying that Lennie is a good worker and that he was kicked by a horse when was small, that’s why he is slow.
10. So the boss, was warning him not to put something over Lennie and that he has seen wise guys
11. After that, the boss sent him to Slim’s team and left, George warned Lennie to be quiet and not say a word, he told him to let him do all the talking.
12. The old man was listening to what George and Lennie were talking about, George was saying that he is not his cousin
13. Then, a guy came in and set them up to a fight, then the old man came in and he explained what’s going on after the guy left.
14. The old man was saying that this guy Curley is a mean little man and that doesn’t like being with the other guys because he’s the only one that is small and did lightweight fighting, and he’s married to a tart, meaning that his wife slips to every man she sees.
