Nyame: A Short Story
Nyame was out of her element. Several times she had been hit on by “alpha” males ready to force themselves upon her. She carefully directed them to other more submissive females in the room. The other females in the where use to this type of behavior in fact they adored it but she did not. This whole scene was new to her and as she scan the place there was really no other newcomer here at least none that stuck out as bad as she did. Nyame was not the naturally submissive type. She usually had man at her beck and call, doing whatever she ask. Her role as Master and not slave was something that was engraved in her. So why had she come here? These man simply wanted her to give them her submission, while they crudely fucked her brains out.

I came back to the house after dropping Lauren off at school to find Noah back at the house. "I thought I told you to leave?" I asked. "You did but I never left," he replied calmly. "Why?" I asked. "Because we need to talk about custody," he replied,"I was thinking I get half and you get half." "I don't want to just see my baby half of her life," I yelled. "Well neither do I," he yelled back. "Why can't we just be happy together and give Lauren a good childhood?" I asked. "I don't know. Where did we go wrong?" Noah replied. "I have no idea. Could we maybe give us another chance?" I asked shyly. "I... Um..... Guess we can try," he gave in. "Thank you," I said as I hugged him. We're going to fight for our…

Fantomina is portraying herself as one who is curious of the higher class men’s behavior, conducting a social experiment, figuring out their ways while dressed and in the act of a prostitute. Also in almost a way that she has no boundaries and is pushing her limits. Comparing it to the types of woman in today’s time seems almost as if Haywood was already practicing a popular profession of a prostitute in an almost futuristic way. Men still have that attitude of hunger and lust towards woman like they do in today’s time. Shockingly, Fantomina was not all that innocent. She was representing a provocative side to her feminism when in reality she was a virgin.…

The author who brought to us The Tale of Genji, a novel now regarded as the first written novel in history, left behind an arguably more treasurable artifact: a diary that opens a window into history. The Diary of Lady Murasaki by Lady Murasaki Shikibu gives the reader a glimpse of the imperial court during eleventh century Japan and presents the past in an illuminated vision. Being an attendant in the imperial court, Lady Murasaki is frequently involved with the activities of elite Japanese women. Her day-to-day interaction with the nobles and elites enhance her account with the curious perspective of an elite female. As a woman, Lady Murasaki's descriptions are oriented around clothing and appearance, and add a female touch to this historical record. This personal perspective introduces a new dimension to the themes within the diary since Lady Murasaki not only discusses life within the court, but also her own perception of customs, rivalries, and aesthetics. Her added insights create an illuminated vision that allows the reader to feel what it is like to be an inhabitant of the Heian court and to acquire a better understanding of the historical events within the era.…
