Nutrient Factory will be competing in the nutritional retail industry. According to the Nutritional Business Journal, This industry is on pace to becoming one of the largest industries in the world. It generated $32 billion in revenue from nutritional supplements alone in 2012. Moreover, the Nutritional Business Journal states that the industry is projected to nearly triple their revenue by 2021, (Lariviere, 2013). The sports nutrition market, which is what Nutrient Factory specializes in, is also expected to grow significantly due to the increasing demand from athletes. Mounting health diseases owing to hectic schedules and nature of work are expected to drive consumers towards the usage of sports nutrition. Growing demands from bodybuilders
