Section C, Company 1
Question 1: What is the most rewarding thing about working with VPT? Answer: Because VPT is a small company, each engineer is assigned their own project that they complete all the way to the end. Instead of working on just a small portion of a project that a whole team of engineers are doing, which is what you will find yourself doing in a large engineering company, you get to see your own project evolve from the first design phase to the final testing phase.
Question 2: What skills should I pursue to become an appealing candidate for an internship at VPT? Answer: Study a lot of electrical engineering. Work on projects, whether they are for school or for personal gain. We primarily do analog electrical engineering so the more you know how to design and analyze complex circuits, the better chances you will have to get the internship. Because it’s a small company not many interns are accepted each year, so keep your GPA up and do well in school.
