Nt1310 Unit 1 Module 2

On Thursday, December 22nd 2016, at approximately 10:00AM Mrs. Marie Ernst, HAAS Assistant Principal, informed me a HASD tablet computer, issued to Gilbert Reyes, Grade 10, was broken during period 1/2. She received information on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 from Mr. Michael Shebolock, HAAS Physical Ed Teacher, regarding the broken tablet.

I spoke with Mr. Shebolock, he said the students' tablets were allowed in the gym area. He stated tablets are used in gym only when students are performing their weekly’s to record information. All tablets are the responsibility of the students to be placed in a secure, safe area, i.e.; desk, table etc.

I interviewed Reyes; he said he placed the tablet on an exercise seat in the gym, however the seat is similar to a bicycle seat, therefore the tablet was not secure. As Reyes walked away from where he placed the tablet, he heard a noise when he returned; his tablet was on the floor. He picked up the tablet from the floor, opened the tablet and noticed it was cracked, he reported it to Mr. Shebolock.
The cost of repair and or replacement will be the responsibility of Reyes and Guardian, as outlined in the policy. Attached is a signed policy by Reyes and parents, acknowledging understanding of the policy.
