New Century Case Study

In my opinion, the boards oversight of New Century was of poor standards. The board did not address the issues New Century had with servicing their loans, and they also did not deal with the issues they had with their accounting procedures. The board seemed as if their only real focus was to maximize profits, whether or not they did it the correct way or not. Therefore, I can assure that the board’s quality was very low and did not take their responsibilities as board leaders too serious.
