N“In order to read the destiny of a people, it is necessary to open the book of its past.” – Dr. Jose Rizal Philippines has a vast of historical events that we have learned inside and outside of the school. If we just look deeper in every place that we go through, we will discover a historical event that took place there that is worth knowing and sharing to other people. History is everywhere as it never dies thus it continues to influence people holistically. We visited many historical landmarks in our country for the past weeks. Every site brought new knowledge to us and some of it even refreshed our memories as we have known them from our history class. We wanted to explore the landmarks that can be seen in Metro Manila to nourish our understanding and love for the course better. Our trips to the different landmarks were successful as we met our goal and we enjoyed all that we saw and we went through. Intramuros is one of the landmarks that we visited that is full and rich of the historical past. We gained a lot of insights, experience and information when we conducted our project. Nowadays, the youth are more familiar and more concern with the different offers that the rapid changing of technology are giving us. We should not forget the abundant lessons that history taught and inculcated in each and every one of us. We are thankful to our lovely professor who taught us many things especially in awakening our patriotism and nationalism through history. Let us not dismiss from our minds that it is important to remember where we came from because we might commit the same mistakes that occurred before. We should continue to develop and progress towards a better future with the history on our side.
