Blue-tooth is a great emerging technology being used today, which also has potential for much more uses than the tradition bluetooth headset. Bluetooth connects gadgets together, helping users listen to music, talk on phones without having to deal with frustrating cords and wires. To understand how a Bluetooth connection works, I will use an example such as a phone connected to wireless speaker. First, each device is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, a feature that requires both software and hardware components. On the hardware side, an antenna-equipped chip in both devices sends and receives signals at a specific frequency. The software interprets incoming Bluetooth signals and sends them out in ways other devices can read and understand. In the case of the wireless speaker, the phone will know how to send audio files and information in a format that the speaker understands, while the speaker can interpret these signals–as well as other indicators such as volume and track controls–from the phone.…

When it comes to IPv6 there are a lot of topics that can be discussed. It will change the Internet forever as we know it. IPv4 is the fourth version of protocol using a 32 bit address space whereas IPv6 will be using 128 bits of hexadecimal addressing to allow for drastically more addresses. Currently IPv4 allows roughly 4,294,967,296 possible addresses and with the current allocation practices it limits the number of public address to a few hundred million. In contrast, the 128 bit address space that IPv6 uses can provide roughly 3.4 x 1038 possible addresses. The sheer size of the IPv6 address allows for the subdividing of the address into a hierarchical routing structure that in turn can reflect the current topology of the Internet. This will provide great flexibility for the addressing and routing in the future where the IPv4 obviously lacks in comparison. It would hard to imagine a world where we do have anymore Internet addresses to go around. This should hopefully solve that problem, at least for a while to come.…

The quantitative study uses mostly primary sources in the literature review. This study was published in 1998 with the literature review sources ranging from 1984-1998. Sources used in this review are studies about the proper technique for measuring blood pressure, things that affect blood pressure readings, and suggestions to help prevent symptomatic orthostatic hypotension. The literature review provides a basis for the study because it supports the claims that there is inconsistency about whether feet should be kept flat on the floor while measuring blood pressure, and whether it would skew…

Hackers formulate different variations of Malware to take advantage of these areas before the Developers can patch and protect against these vulnerabilities (Wikipedia, 2013). Oracle’s Java is an example of an application that is vulnerable. Their latest patch JAVA 7 Update 11 is in place to prevent up to fifty of these vulnerabilities as it just recently experienced some of these exploits. Many users are disabling this application in a Browser setting, likening it to “Kissing a black rat, in London, during the plague.” As stated in the Inquirer (Neal,…

In 1992, Dallmeier presented the world’s first video sensor with digital image storage. At this time, the idea of using digital image storage in video surveillance wasn’t taken seriously but Dallmeier saw its benefits and potential. In retrospect, this idea has proved to be a groundbreaking development, one that has revolutionized video surveillance. Today we cannot imagine the security field without the use of digital technology.Panomera® is a completely novel camera technology, which was specially developed for the all-encompassing video surveillance of expansive areas. With Panomera®, huge widths, as well as areas with large distances can be displayed with a completely new resolution quality, in real time and at high frame rates of up to 30 fps. While other video analysis systems are limited to pure motion detection, Dallmeier uses SEDOR® – an abbreviation for “Self Learning Event Detector” – a self-learning analysis system. Using intelligent picture analysis algorithms and self-learning detection systems a variety of different situations can be automatically recognised even in complex scenes. For example, object sizes, directions of movement and speeds can be analysed. Environmental influences like rain, snow or branches blowing in the wind are filtered out using special algorithms.…

Therefore, Jrotc builds character and leadership by its many activities such as conducting color guards, being apart of the chain of command, and being apart of the raider team.…
