I have upheld the Chanhassen High School National Honor Society 4 pillars of character, leadership, scholarship and service. The National Honors Society recognizes students who have great leadership skills, strong character, and who have a great desire to serve their community. I believe that I demonstrate all of these attributes. I work very hard to do well in school, I continue to serve in leadership positions in the community and I strive to be an individual…
What other volunteer work have you done in the community (may or may not be affiliated with the National Honor Society)?…
The National Honors Society places a strong emphasis on the cornerstone traits of character, leadership, and service within the school and outside of school. I have met, and in some cases exceeded these requirements by being honest, assisting others, and participating in school activities.…
The National Honor Society is an outstanding organization that lets students make an impact for communities worldwide. I am honored to be chosen as a candidate for the National Honor Society along with my intellectual peers. Being a member of this society will open countless opportunities for me. If I get inducted in this society, my high school dream will come true. I will not only grow as a person but I will get to support others and serve the community.…
Through the classes you take at school, you can obtain a lot of information, but there is also a lot that you can learn outside of the classroom. From your interests, the organizations you participate in, or even just your daily activities, you can gain a lot of esoteric knowledge for the subjects that mean most to you. I have gained knowledge in certain subjects and areas from outside of the classroom.…
The national honors society consists of four tenets scholarship, leadership, character and service. The tenets that mostly describes me and my character and leaderships skills. I am kind, lovable, caring, trust, worthy, and loyal. I show many leadership skills too. By tutoring little kids to helping their homework and I achieve that skill. My combination of creative talent social expertise makes me a great student to be in national honors society. I have volunteered at the long term care facility. I feel like helping the elderly and helping other people makes me feel like I am a good person. Helping makes me feel like I am giving back to my community.…
Service is the reason I would be a good candidate for the National Junior Honor Society because I have volunteered in the past and would like to volunteer more in the future. I like volunteering because I enjoy helping people. I would like to join the National Junior Honor Society because I like school, I like to study and I would like to do more volunteer work. One of the things I did was volunteer in the World Refugee Day. I drew designs on people’s hands with henna, I also distributed water to the people who were there to watch, and I gave raffle tickets to the people who were participating in the program.…
To me it is a great honor to be part of this generation because it shows my endurance, hard work, dedication, and deviation. In order to get into National Honor Society you have to have above average grades and be scholarship material. This is something that doesn’t come as easy to me as it does others. I have to put in a lot of time studying in order to get an outcome that I am pleased with. This shows that I am hardworking and dedicated. I can not recall a time that I didn’t turn in a project or assignment in on time. I am responsible, take initiative, and do not procrastinate. When there is a task to be done, I dig into it into it right away and active productive and efficient. Another quality look look at to join National Honor Society is your character. Students with a good character demonstrate honesty and integrity, fairness, respect, responsibility, caring, and citizenship in all their actions. Honesty and truth are morals that I personally like to live by. I also think it is important to be a friendly, nice, and caring person. My mom always taught me that you don't have to like everyone, but you do have to treat them right. Being apart of National Honor Society also allows me to do something that I love- volunteer, out in the community. I am always willing to work to benefit those in need without need of recognition of any kind. I try to give back to my school and community as much as I can. One example of a service project we did for National Honor Society was raking leaves in out in the community for the elderly. Members from National Honor Society would pile into someone’s car with our big rakes and went from house to house raking the leaves. The elderlies were so sweet and very thankful. Some even baked us cookies and desserts which was a great bonus. Many of the elders came out by us and loved talking to us. They were amazed how quickly…
I am incredibly honored to be one of the exceptional students who received an application for the National Honor Society. This organization does fantastic things within our community, and I believe I can contribute to the impact that has been made over the years. I have been looking forward to this opportunity since I learned of the organization in middle school. I think that I qualify for this recognition because I have worked exceedingly hard to get to this point. The National Honor Society considers students with distinguished grades and unique qualities, I believe that I possess both important aspects.…
Being a nominee, I realize that the National Honor Society is an honor to be in itself. Since The National Honor Society is dedicated to helping the needy, children, the elderly and non-profit organizations. I feel that this is the right society for me because since I was a child, I have been noted for my exceptional empathy. My parents have always instilled in me a sense of responsibility and care for others. I feel obligated to utilize my gifts in an organization as prestigious as the National Honor Society. Over the past years as a scholar, I believe that I have demonstrated all four principles: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.…
All throughout school I have participated in many clubs and organizations that have not only molded me as a person, but have helped me to develop responsibility, and leadership skills. Currently I am an active member of National Honor Society, and DECA. Both of these organizations, provided by my high school, encourage leadership, volunteer work, and have high expectations for behavior, and grades. Being in National Honor Society has shown me to continually do for others in need. There are always opportunities to get involved with the community, and even create drives for things like stuffed animals, and blankets for children who are sick in the hospital, and “Care Catties” for cancer patients, which include tissues, water bottles, hard candy, and lotion. DECA is another organization I am involved in at Frenship High School. DECA is a business organization for high school marketing students looking to learn, develop and compete in a competitive event. I have been a member since my sophomore…
