Nascar Is Not A Sport Essay
What is a sport? According to google a sport is “an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment”. However in my opinion a sport doesn't need to be physical to be called a sport, i think it's just a activity that its competitive. You also don't necessarily need multiple people to play a sport in my opinion, i think that competing with yourself to improve a specific aspect such as time. People will always argue over what activities are and are not sports because it's personal opinion.

First let's talk about hunting, the activity of tracking and killing an animal. Hunting is a sport because there are several different ways to compete with yourself,

NASCAR is racing, people all using similarly efficient cars to compete the laps required then cross the finish line first. People consider nascar to be a sport because of how entertaining it is to see humans competing at an equal level to judge the skill of each person individually. There really is only one main goal in nascar, simply win the race. This means there are very few things to actually judge each race on other then the winner and fastest times. Some would argue that being forced to sit in a very hot uncomfy car for a hour so makes it seem like it's physically demanding enough to be considered a sport as well. It has been considered a sport since 1948, and most likely will never see a …show more content…
Fishing a activity in which people use a fishing pole and bait to lure in and hook fish. Fishermen have to have great knowledge of fish spawns as well as good knowledge of the traits of each fish to understand where and how to catch them. Fishing is normally judged by the size of the fish, you take the baseline average size of a species then give points based on how much larger the fish is. The second way to judge fishing is by the pure quantity of a specific species caught in which they are ranked by the total number of fish caught in a given time. When fishing for large fish, most often in the ocean, be prepared for a struggle because fishing can also be a physically demanding sport. Fishing is considered a sport because of how much it relies on knowledge and physical strength to beat your opponents in the specific goal

In order to go fishing certain equipment is needed; this equipment consists of a fishing pole, a size twelve hook, and three different types of bait. There are three types of bait mainly used for trout, these are worms, minnow-fish, and the artificial bait called PowerBate by Berkley. Three different types of bait are needed because fish sometimes deny certain baits and the other baits could get them to bite. This makes the chances of catching a fish better than if only one type of bait was used. Before actually throwing the line of the fishing pole in the water there will have to be a hook on it. The hook can be applied by putting the fishing line through the hole of the hook and knotting it about six times, and cut off the excess line with scissors. Then the hook will need bait on it, if the choice of bait is PowerBait by Berkley then you will need to roll it in a ball about a quarter of an inch big and stick the hook into it so it is on tightly. If you are using a worm, you would have to put the hook threw the worm once and let the rest of the worm dangle off of the hook. If your choice of bait is a minnow-fish then you will have to put the hook through the gills on one side and then out…

Some people prefer to play team sports, while others prefer to play individual sports. Sport is the best way to improve your health and sociality. When we play team sports, like basketball or football, we realize that we are not going to win the match if we play as a selfish player in our team, because everything will be easier if we work hard together. When we play solo sports, like tennis, swimming competition, boxing, we realize that solo is solo. We cannot depend on anyone else but our self. So if we want to win the game, do not ever give up and keep telling our self that we will win the match no matter what. Sport is about attitude and fair play, because whether lose or win, it does not matter. In my opinion, I prefer to play team sports. Because I always enjoying anything where I can feel being a part of something. I learn about respect to my team whoever they are inside either outside the field. It is always feels good…
