“First Day of Middle School: 30 pencils, 64 crayons, 20 pens, 12 rulers, and 10 notebooks. Middle of April: 1 pencil you found on the ground in science class.” This is true for many people, actually it’s kinda true for me. Middle School has been tough, I will admit, but I truly believe that high school will be a lot tougher. But middle school will always be unforgettable. Our middle school is a bit different then all of the other school districts. It has grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. Most schools do not. But my top 3 favorite grades that I spent here were 5, 7, and 8. I would have to say that fifth grade was my least favorite. The reason being that we were the youngest of all the kids in the middle school. Everyone else looked down on us, literally. Also, it was a major upgrade from the elementary school. We weren’t allowed to join any sports or clubs. All the other students considered us as kids because we still had recess and acted immature. Nobody treated us as fair as the rest of the people there. It was very difficult to deal with the drastic change, but I got used to it very quick. Sixth grade was just as bad as fifth grade. I’ve heard lots of college students say that they miss being in grade school. Don’t get me wrong, there have been some rough times in middle school, but they were overcoming. It was rough being in middle school as young as the fifth grade. We were treated as immature, little children, but we kind of were. In sixth grade, we were treated the exact same. Seventh grade was different because we had a little bit more freedom. Actually, we were allowed to join different types of clubs and sports teams.
