NHS Members Should Do The Best To Help The Community
An NHS member should do their best to help their community. They should do this through service projects, volunteer opportunities, and leadership positions. Members should also demonstrate certain characteristics like organization, cooperation, and patience. Not only should they demonstrate these traits but they should also do their best to positively influence their peers and younger students; I believe that teaching by example, is essential to function in society. Members should always do their best to help the students that are below them to push themselves and reach their full potential.

A service project that I would like to initiate is to collect books and games for children that are being treated for long periods of times in hospitals.

I would be excited to join such a society because of the unlimited possibilities it presents to me. Joining NHS would allow me to grow as a person, and enrich myself with new experiences. I believe I am hard working, reliable and I possess all the qualities required for this society, such as scholarship, leadership, service, and character.…

In order to promote positive behaviour a care setting or organisation should follow legislation made by government such as the Human Rights Act 1998, codes of practise and relevant policies set out by the trust or service. It is important to read and understand theses legislations and policies and then apply them to working practise. We receive mandatory training that reinforces the trusts policies and keeps us informed of any changes to be aware of. Best practise tells us that if we keep good notes and share information with colleagues correctly then we will be able to help and support patients correctly and encourage positive behaviour.…

The National Health Service was founded on the 5th July 1948. Winston Churchill was the prime minister at the time .The government decided to commission a report, addressing the ways in which Britain should be rebuilt after the Second World War had ended. The Beveridge report of 1942 (written by William Beveridge) identified five main points that needed to be addressed. These were Want (addressed poverty) disease (the lack of healthcare) ignorance (no education) squalor (represented the lack of housing) and idleness (unemployment). A Lot of politicians were confident that Winston Churchill would lead the conservatives to success in the general election. However this was not the case, clement Attlee of the labour party introduced all the courses of action needed that were stated in the Beveridge report. This is how the birth of the NHS occurred. The four pillars of the NHS are scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. I am proud to say that these are exemplified in my life through my challenging course load and experiences. Throughout my years as a student, the experiences and challenges that life has thrown at me have built me into who I am today. Before I started my high school career, I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. I started taking AP classes as early as my freshman year, and have only taken more since then. My enrollment into the Gifted program has given me opportunities to expand on my intellectual growth, including the Biology Olympiad and American Math Competition. Brains, however, are only a piece of the puzzle; it’s how a person acts that makes…
