My Vacation at New York
One week ago, I took a vacation to New York; it was the most unforgettable and amazing vacation of my entire life. New York is a beautiful place, People are very busy, and there are people from different countries walking on the street talking in their own language. It was imaging to listen to different languages at a time from different people. It seemed like everyone there was in a hurry to get to another place. Some people were waiting for trains; some were talking on the street while they are walking with friends, and some just came to visit New York. New York City is a great cultural exchange place, wonderful food, anything you want and more. I had a wonderful introduction to New York in my life. I sustained every minute I had spent around New York City. A few places to go to in New York are Times Square, Manhattan Bridge, and New York City subway, which were all amazing to me. I am going to explain about these places and why you should visit New York City.
The Time Square is one of the most powerful places in New York City. Time Square is also known for people gathering on New Year’s Eve night, especially for youth generation of the City. Every year, thousands of people come to the Time Square to celebrate New Year Eve night, and people get crazy when the clock strikes 12 o’clock on the last day of the year. Time Square is more attractive for a visitor. When I was at Time Square, it was 9 o’clock at night. I have seen uncountable visitors at night with various types of electronic devices. I was wondering around when I saw the light around the Time Square building and made me forget where I am right now. It was looking more beautiful when different ethic people taking pictures and helping each other to capture enjoyable moments into pictures. I was hanging with my brother-in-law and when we went there; I felt like I was just dreaming. I have seen Time Square on TV, but I never had a chance to physically go there spending time with different types of people. I do not know when I will able to go there to see and enjoy this charming place again. It was amazing and unbelievable.
Of course, Manhattan Bridge is the most beautiful bridge I have ever seen. When I went to see the Manhattan Bridge, it was almost evening and all the buildings around the bridge had beautiful lights is looking extremely beautiful to me. I was enjoying the view of the order of light in the building at Manhattan. I have seen three bridges, ordering by one after one and these bridges looked amazing in the dark. I had seen three helicopters that kept flying around these three bridges and my brother in law told me “These helicopters fly all day around the bridges”. I spent more than two hours at the Manhattan Bridge because the longer I stayed; the more curious I become to spend more time around these bridges. I took some picture with my brother -in-law.
Another thing to see is the subway train; I had so much fun spending time in New York City subway. Especially in the subway, I heard so many different languages from different people and I felt like I was in a different world. I went to the Time Square from Brooklyn by the subway. I saved lots of money by using the subway train and I saved my time by using subway. In the subway, I didn’t have to wait for a train for more than five munities. The subway made traveling extremely easy for the city’s people. New York City symbolized the United States, the greatest country on earth. I longed to see it. I wanted to even live there some day. Although this is my first visit to the city, I feel that there is something very special about New York City. The cultural diversity has made it possible that we can find just about anything we may want. There is always something for everyone. For example, New York has a wonderful variety of restaurants for just about every type of food we can imagine
I’m so proud to see the economic growth in New York City. Today the United States of America is regarded as a global economic leader. The standard of living in the U.S. is higher than that of most other nations. Our nation is considered an economic super-power. Don’t forget that immigrants have played major roles in building and contributing to our economy. The overwhelming majority of immigrants including more recent immigrants enter the United States in search of jobs by working hard to have a chance at a better life for themselves and their families. I believe our economy will continue to grow, directly or indirectly, by the continuing inflow of immigrants. It is this cultural diversity that has helped shape the nation and contributed to make our country more competitive and stronger.

I don’t travel very much at all but my parents managed to send me on the trip as a kind of graduation gift, a great traveling experience and the sightseeing part of the trip was amazing. We went toured all over the city, went to see plays, and visited a lot of famous places. I had only seen New York on TV or in pictures but I loved being able to actually go there. Just watching TV or seeing pictures on a screen cannot compare at all to actually standing at the top of the Rockefeller Center and being able to see all of Manhattan and the surrounding area as far as you can see, the same can be said about Times Square. Going to these two places were some of my favorite things that we did, along with seeing the Blue Man Group, going to Chinatown, and walking up and down Fifth Avenue. I had a great time actually being able to see and experience everything for myself, but there are more reasons as to why I loved that trip so much.…

It seems common to write about New York City given the fact that it prevails as one of the most populous cities in the U.S. Others chose to write referring to how it holds endless opportunities for anyone who tries, however, that does not explain the real foundation of New York. New York remains an influential place, nevertheless, the features that acclaim it as an impactful city are the traits commonly disregarded. Moving to a different country, to a small town, was frightening in itself. The familiarity the others had towards each other created a connection I did not share for a long time, until I found that by changing myself I “fit in”. In New York, this is never a problem as the varying ethnicities and mass diversity allows almost anyone to fit in and be accepted. This acceptance of diversity impacted my character tremendously when I first visited New York City when I turned 10. People I had never known, but knew my aunt and cousin, accepted me without question. There were no guidelines for what was needed to be recognized, I solely acted as myself. I carried this attitude back to my small town and found that with this late realization I was no longer self-conscious of how I appeared to others, instead, I had a newfound confidence.…

I stopped for a moment just to observe the people in the streets. Many of them were scurrying to get somewhere, talking on the phone, listening to music, and ignoring one another as if they were the only ones here. The men were all dressed in their suits and ties and the women’s high heeled shoes could be heard striking the ground very swiftly one after the other. The enormous skyscrapers tower over me and I can no longer feel the summer sun beating down on my skin. The architecture of each building is so eye-catching and differs from one another. Some appear to be made of all glass, others are more vintage looking, and some even have striking statues attached to the buildings. The streets seem more congested than the side walks. The continuous sounds of cars honking at one another pierce through my ears, and the bright yellow taxis are so overpowering to the eyes.…
