My Migration To Canada
Ever since I came to Canada when I was eight, I have dreamed of going to university. After moving to Canada I worked hard on learning the language and soon after working hard to achieving good grades. I knew that my parents moved to Canada to give me a future much brighter than the one i could’ve had in Russia so I wanted to do my part and put as much effort into my education. I have always believed that that if I work hard enough I can achieve the results that desire. This has allowed me to achieve the results that I desire in school as well as in other areas of my life.
Ever since grade eight when I first started really thinking of what kind of career i want in the future it was always something in the medical field. In the past year I have found the career that I believe suits

My responsibilities at summer camp were to help lead activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, and outdoor survival. I also volunteered my time in the kitchen where I helped cook the food and clean up after meal preparation was complete. In the evenings my duties as a co-counselor involved leading the campers down to campfire, discussing the events of the day, and getting them ready for bed. Volunteering at summer camp allowed me to realize how much I enjoy working with other people.
During spring break of grade eleven I, along with ten others, traveled to Guatemala for two weeks for a service trip. During the time there our biggest project was helping complete the construction of a career school. Our team also worked with the children attending the already open elementary and middle school, and supplying families in need with baskets of food and supplies. The trip to Guatemala helped me gain a better perspective of the world we live in and I am continually reminded of the time I spent there through the two girls that I am sponsoring

Second, other key impact of globalization is the free movement of labor. In a globalized world, workers can more easily move from one country to another to market their skills to employers and contribute to the economy. As some Canadian entrepreneurs with the purpose of domestic business to grow, those companies have to capitalize on efficiency except looking outside the company as off-shoring, yet sometimes recruit foreign workers. Temporary migration is used strategically for national and regional economic development in Canada. Canada is flexibility to attract highly skilled migrants and to fill low-paid labour market niches in recent years. Founded in 1867, Canada is a country formed by the merging of Anglophone and Francophone territories in the New World. In addition to the English and French, the Native American tribes all over Canada (such as the Metis, Ojibway, Cree, Iroquois…) were a key part in the formation of the country we call home, Canada (If you identify as a Canadian). Canada has a vast amount of habitable land yet it has a very minuscule population in comparison. Therefore, in order to utilize the large amount of land available, immigration was introduced. Immigration has been very successful in fact about 18.07 Million people have immigrated to Canada since 1867 up until 2013 (to put into perspective, the population of Canada in 2013 was 35.16 million!). For the…

In tenth grade, I went on a missions trip with my church to Mink Lake, which is a camp by the Gunflint Trail in northern Minnesota. During the missions trip, we prepared a camp for the summer. Some of my personal jobs were to help clean out two sheds and reorganize them, haul logs, and trim trees all over the camp. The trip benefitted myself and the other people on the missions trip because we were able to help people have a fun experience at camp over the summer, and we also helped the people running the camp to not have to work so hard to prepare the camp for the summer campers. Another reason it was a good experience for all of us workers is because we did not have our cell phones, so we were able to form new relationships with each other since we were not constantly distracted by our…

As a child growing up I think I always wanted to work in the medical field, seeing my mother as a LPN. I also have always had a natural interest in the medical field because I like to watch a lot of ER and hospital shows. At first I didn’t really know what health career I wanted to pursue. I just knew that I liked being in the healthcare class and learning about the different health science careers and what they do. I think a medical office administration assistant would be a very good career for me because I am very helpful and can always be counted on when people need me. This is not my only career choice, it’s just the first I want to pursue. One year after graduation I will hopefully have my medical assisting certificate or at least be working on getting it. Around my five year mark I want to try to get a degree from a nursing school and become licensed as a registered nurse. After that I will try to specialize in pediatrics, so I can be a pediatric nurse. In ten years, I want to get my nurse practitioners license, so that I could work directly with a pediatrician.…
