My short term professional goal is to transfer from the University of Northern Iowa to Allen College to continue my education for a career as a Radiographer. My long term goal is to then further my degree in Nuclear Medicine and hold a position at Allen Hospital. My plan to accomplish these goals are to finish my general education at University of Northern Iowa for Radiography; transferring to Allen College in the fall of 2016 to start the radiology program. Then to finish my general education for nuclear medicine, I will be taking the last three classes I need next summer, therefor I can start the nuclear medicine program right away when I am finished with the radiology program. After graduating with two degrees from Allen College I will pursue…
I am Tiara Maclin. Throughout my high school career I have maintained a GPA of 3.89 and attended two schools, Covington High and Stratford Stem Magnet. College has been apriority of mine since primary school, but I did not discover my passion for psychology until my junior year of high school. Today it is my goal to graduate with a master’s degree in psychology before continuing on to become a licensed psychiatrist; after attaining my psychiatry license I plan to open my own practice for the abused and mentally ill.…
When it comes to my education my short-term goal is to finish out this school year and maintain my current GPA. I find it easier to motivate myself each day if I have set in stone grade goals in mind. My long-term education goal is to finish my Associate of Applied Business degree in spring 2017 and my Associate of Arts degree in spring of 2018. I have enough classes and credit hours to finish a second associate degree in two part-time semesters. My short term career goal is to continue where I am until I graduate and learn as much as I can from those around me. I find that the people around me at my current jobs are very intelligent and it would be wasteful of me to not learn what I can from them before I move on. My long-term career goal…

The way a person believes is usually influenced by various different life factors, which is why no one ever agrees on everything. We all have our own aspect of life. The place where one begins to learn and pick up from is usually home with family. Although there are many things including, friends, books, media, income; and even race, gender, and ethnicity that contribute to why people believe differently. My own beliefs, I think have been influenced by family of course, but also by my own personal knowledge and experience; which is only gained by living.…
I have been planning goals for myself since I was in the 7th grade. Some of those goals have already been accomplished and what joy has come over for me for making my dream goals reality. These goals change all of the time, from my major, to colleges and even where I want to reside after I graduate college. I have narrowed down my list though to a few more goals.…
In my past, I saw, felt and listened through a black and white world. Now I have a paintbrush to create the vision of my future with color. On occasion, I take the time to reflect back. I think about how my past weaknesses have accumulated to create personal strengths. I have become an excellent student who values education. I have broadened myself through activities such as establishing a Sign Language Club at my high school, attending Boy’s State and getting involved in the local community theater. These are only a few of my achievements I never thought possible. Now my dream is to pursue Child Psychology so that I may reach young people as I draw from my own experiences. My life is just beginning again. I choose The University of North Carolina-Asheville to help further my…
Some kids play sports in high school. Others are in the band, take roles in theater, or members of the debate team. Myself, I did not so any of those things, because, since middle school, my life has been fully devoted to practicing my passion for agriculture and preparing for an eventual career in the industry. I never had time for orchestra rehearsals or scrimmages, I was either out in the barn or in the pens in the field, or at plant ID practice, livestock judging workouts, or chapter meetings instead. These things even took the place of milestones such as prom and homecoming dances for me in middle/high school, but, it was completely fine to me, because, I knew my hard work would soon pay off as soon as…
I have three personal long term SMART goals that I am working on to improve myself professionally and develop my leadership skills. My very first goal is to complete school and get my Master’s degree. I have been using all my free time to study and weekends to work on quizzes. This is achievable by continuing my studies at Western Governors University. With a Masters I will be able to move up within my company or any other company into a management position. I did change my degree plan, so now my graduation date has been set back by a year and I will be graduation in 2018. My second long term goal is to completed my VMWare certifications. I would like to be certified in the data center virtualization certification and have been reviewing videos and free labs provided by VMWare learning about their product. This is very achievable because of the free labs that are available along with the fact that I use the product on a daily basis. It is relevant to my goals because it is a product that many companies are using for their infrastructure. My plan is to be certified by the beginning of 2017. My third goal is to retire by the age of 50. For the past 20 years I have been aggressively saving money in a 401k, and for the last 7 years I have been…
