My Farewell Speech
My Farewell Speech…
By- Asif Iqbal We have waited for this moment all our lives, the moment when we leave our childhood behind and step into the world to forge our own paths in life. We have counted down the years, the months, the hours, minutes and seconds, and finally, that moment has arrived. I find myself not a little sad, for I will be leaving behind people that shaped my life and a place that is as much a part of my identity as the name I bear..... I will miss the delightful smells from the chemistry lab that waft their way through the ground floor. Most of all, I will miss the very heart of my experience as a student; my friends and my teachers. Thank you teachers, for all that you have taught me - lessons that extended well beyond the four walls of a classroom. Thank you, all my classmates, for two wonderful years - for all the fun, the hysterical laughter and the valuable lessons we learned. Although we may be separated by time and distance in the interim, nothing will diminish the important role that you have and always will play in our lives. I wish you happy adventures, fantastic new friendships, amazing experiences and the journey of a lifetime.Richard Bach says, "Can miles truly separate you from friends? If you want to be with someone you love ... aren't you already there?" And so it is ... and always will be with you as we carry you always close to our hearts. May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand Thanks to all of my teachers, for providing me with myriad opportunities for growth during my time here as a student. When we leave here today, we

The United States of America was founded by a group of pilgrims that settled in the New World. One of these pilgrims, named George Washington, helped lead the settled pilgrims to freedom from Great Britain in 1776. In the years that followed this separation from Great Britain, many things changed for the pilgrims, including the development of a government controlled by the people with a new constitution that gave inalienable rights for the people of this new nation. In addition to this, the pilgrims learned how to cultivate peace and harmony with the Foreign World without risking European influence on their governmental structure. Another change that was made was fair and equal taxing upon its citizens. This taxation was necessary to ensure…

Thank you to every teacher that gave me a bad grade, put me in detention, or made me feel like I was the stupidest person in the room. Out of all of the people I have experienced in my short 16 years, you have taught me the most. You made me realize that just because someone is older than me, doesn't mean that they deserve my respect. Hollerin' at my 7th grade English teacher for giving me a detention in for squishing my friend's potato and not even asking the full story. You have also showed me that even if I put my heart and soul into a project, there will always be someone who doesn't like it. It doesn't matter what someone else thinks of what you do, as long as…

These wonderful graduates are more than my classmates; they are my family. I always think about our past, all the good times and those thankfully few bad ones; the laughter and tears we shared over the past 10 years. I began with some of you in kindergarten, others joined along the way. We all have grown up together and have changed each other for the better. We have stuck together, even though the rough times I am so proud of every single one of them and I love them all dearly. Each laughter-filled moment and friendship made has taught us what we need to move on, and has strengthened us as individuals I'm so blessed to have had them in my life and I am thankful that I was given the opportunity to have gone to such a wonderful school full of amazing people.…

Let the moon beam over me soft and serene, Let the dawn shed over me its radiant flashes, Let the wind with sad lament over me keen; And if on my cross a bird should be seen, Let it trill there its hymn of peace to my ashes. Let the sun draw the vapors up to the sky, And heavenward in purity bear my tardy protest; Let some kind soul o'er my untimely fate sigh, And in the still evening a prayer be lifted on high From thee, O my country, that in God I may rest.…

Ahead is a new journey, not only for me but for all of us. And what I have to say to that, “Challenge accepted.” I can only imagine the way my parents are going to feel watching me grow up more and more and having to let go little by little each day but even then my imagination cannot comparable to the feelings they feel. Even then, I willingly accept this new chapter of my life which I wouldn’t have been able to reach without every single one of you. No matter how small to how big of an impact you’ve had in my life, I thank you all equally.…
