No person is culture free. Throughout the world, there are a plethora of diverse cultures, each truly unique in comparison to another. Each and every human has a different way of being brought up and a different makeup of their culture. Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and art. When thinking about culture there really isn’t a set place to start, there are millions of things that make you the unique person you are. Your background and upbringing is what sets you apart from everyone else because no one has been raised the same. My family can sometimes be a mess but I know that they will always be there for me. My family has taught me things that have stuck with me and will always be a part of me. Things that your family teaches you all go into your cultural identity and makes you who you are. Traditions are just a part of family, whether it’s everybody coming over for Christmas or getting together with some family members every Sunday for lunch. Family is something that is very important to me and I think should be important to everybody. Sports play a major role in today’s society and there are a various sports out there. The sport I play is softball. Softball is really fun and I get to play with some of my friends. It has a big thing to do with my cultural identity because it is something that I have done for as long as I can remember. It has had quite an impact on my life and has taught me life lessons. With playing softball I have learned how to work as a team, deal with difficult people, and I have met so many people playing.
