My Dream

My Dream One night I had a dream about my future. The dream began as I was walking down this lonely, dark hallway. I was lost and didn’t know which direction to go. All of a sudden I heard a voice saying, it is up to you to follow your heart and believe in yourself. For a moment I thought, I’ve tried everything I could think of and I still fell short. As I began to express myself out loud, the room became bright. I didn’t realize how much about myself I failed to know. It turned out that I was in my own world trapped in the darkness. As I looked to my left, I can see and hear the voices of my so-called friends telling me I didn’t need school to be successful, and to my right, I can see the support of my family trying to help succeed in life. When I walked to the right my whole world changed. I saw myself helping to save the lives of others. I had a huge smile on my face. I couldn’t believe I actually made something of myself.
When I trusted my gut feeling, I knew this was career for me. I want to help people. When I woke up from my dream, I had a sense of purpose and self- fulfillment in my life. The reason I want to follow my dream is because growing up as a child, I’ve always had the heart and patience for people. I’ve developed this characteristic from always helping my grandmother, and my mother to take care of my siblings. I grew to have love for people and taking care of their needs.
I have already begun taking the necessary steps to get closer to making my dream a reality. When I was growing up, my family has always struggled financially. My mother raised three kids while trying to continue her education, but it was very hard. By me seeing my mother do the best she could, made me want to do better for her. I than saw how important having an education was. So
