Smoking is bad for your health and contains nicotine that is very additive. Cigarettes are made out of juices, leaves and roots. Every year more than a thousand people die from cigarette smoking. Smoking causes several diseases emphysema, lung cancer, asthma and heart disease. Also, the skin can become wrinkle, cause wheezing and coughing. Cigarettes have been venerated by the Native Americans as medicine. The story My Daughter Smokes is about the daughter smoking at a young age and the side effects. For example, Alice was in the eleventh and she began smoking because she thought it was cool (Langan591). The dark lips and gums is what struck her attention.
