Much Ado About Nothing Lies Analysis
“Tell a lie once and all your truths become questionable”.(anonymous) In the play Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. The play shows lies and deceit from Don John and Don Pedro. Don John lied about Hero cheating on Claudio.Claudio then called out Hero at the wedding calling her a dirty cheater.
Don Pedro lies to Hero saying that he is Claudio.Don Pedros lie Caused Hero and Claudio to get Married. The motivation that makes Don John Lie is anger,revenge,and hatred.The thing that motivates Don Pedro to lie is love,trust,and friendship.Don Pedro is lying for Claudio so he can woo Hero for him. Don Pedro is lying out of friendship for Claudio. Don Pedro tells Claudio “I shall tell fair Hero I am Claudio.”(ShakeSpeare 8).Don John lying out of anger he tells Claudio “ Hero is everyone's Hero”(ShakeSpeare Scene 2 act 3). He’s trying to ruin Claudio's and Hero's relationship because Don John is ruined. Don John gets Borracho to pose as the other guy to set up Hero so Claudio could destroy Hero at the wedding.Don Pedro lies about love to get Beatrice and Benedik back together. He get Claudio and Leonato to lie about Beatrice saying that she loves Benedik.Then Don Pedro gets Hero to make up a lie saying that Benedik loves Beatice Don Pedro and Don John are motivated to lie. …show more content…
Don John goes to Claudio and Don Pedro and tells them that “Hero is not a virgin but a tart”. Don Pedro’s lie caused Hero and Claudio to get together and get married the way he did it was the way he promised“I shall tell fair Hero I am Claudio”.(ShakeSpeare 8). Don Pedros lie caused a good thing to happen.Don John lie ruined everything.     William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing is a play involving by deception, disloyalty, trickery, eavesdropping, and hearsay. The main examples of deception we see are from the characters of Beatrice and Benedick.. We as the audience are exposed to their ‘merry war; ad they exchange witty and sarcastic banter, providing the humor throughout Shakespeare’s comedy and very interesting comparisons to be commented onIn act 1, we are introduced to Beatrice who Beatrice tends to take charge of every conversation, not reluctant to state her own views on a subject regardless of whom she addresses.
