Movie Review of Titanic
The movie, Titanic, opens with treasure hunter Brock Lovett, who is searching the Titanic wreck for a necklace named the Heart of the Ocean. Lovett hopes to find the Heart of the Ocean contained within a safe he uncovered from passenger Caledon ‘Cal’ Hockley’s safe. He instead finds a sketch of a naked woman wearing the desired necklace. A woman of 101 years, named Rose Calvert, sees this photo shown on the news and contacts Lovett. He is uninterested at first in what she has to say, but becomes intrigued when she tells him that she is the woman in the drawing. Rose is then flown onto their search boat to tell her story about Titanic. We learn that Rose Calvert used to be Rose DeWitt Bukater and was a first class passenger on the Titanic. She spoke of a drifter, Jack Dawson, who won third class tickets for the Titanic in a poker game. Him and his friend Fabrizio caught the ship just as it is leaving. Rose, her mother Ruth, and fiance Cal, all were first class passengers on the Titanic. Unhappy with how she believed her life would be in the future, Rose runs to the end of the ship and plans to jump. Jack saves her by not only talking her off the deep end, but also pulling her to safety when she slips. As the movie continues, Rose and Jack get closer. The movie is a deep description of their love affair. I really enjoyed this movie. The plot line was so involved with the actual events that happened on that day 100 years ago. I’m also a sucker for a good chick flick that can make me cry so I loved that! The writers got did a great job of appealing to a younger audience. The movie, overall, is very entertaining. You know you’re watching a good movie when you don’t even notice that you have been sitting in a theater for 3 whole hours watching a movie. It really captured the audience. The plot line was also very clear. There really was no discrepancy between what was going on. The audience was definitely told exactly what the characters were feeling and why they were

White Star Line, the contractors for the creation of the Titanic, and many others, believed that the ship was unsinkable. Therefore, no one would get on the lifeboats. Although, today's forensic science proves many flaws that the ship held. The Titanic is the most influential American film because it illustrates a profound look into history, uses engineering to recreate the historical event, and demonstrates how to live life.…

He created a grand staircase on the ship while in reality this staircase was so small passengers had to go up and down single file. A Pablo Picasso painting is featured in the film, although Picasso was not popular during the time of the Titanic, and his work was not widely distributed. The diamond necklace in the film, titled “The Heart of the Ocean,” never existed, much like the love story between invented passengers Rose Bukater and James Dawson. These creations served Cameron’s purpose to paint a theatrical telling of the event, but the movie was just…

In this report I am going to talk about a great ship, the R.M.S. Titanic. The R.M.S. Titanic was a passenger ship that struck an iceberg on her first and last voyage. I am going to tell you how it was constructed, how the voyage went, how and why did it sunk, how another ship rescued the survivors, and how and when scientists found the wreckage. It is a very interesting topic because it happened so fast and I want to know how it happened.…

In the movie Black Swan, directed by Darren Aronosk, the storyline is about a timid ballet dancer in her progress in a demanding environment of professional ballet. Throughout the film, Nina (the main character) shows countless ways of sacrificing one’s self for the positive progression of her performance. There are various times where Nina gets in touch with herself in a way to become a more efficient ballet dancer, and performer. Nina’s ballet director has a huge impact on her, influencing her ways. He mentions how she needs to get in touch with her bad side, considering Nina’s personality is much like a the white swan being timid, innocent, and pure. There are multiple references connected to trauma based mind control which links to this different alternative person in Nina’s mind. In a way Nina is the white swan, while in the play she also plays the black swan being the bad side as well. Nina’s develops both sides of the white and black swan personality traits. Nina’s sense of reality and fictions beings to become foggy. Losing herself in a sense of insanity in her own mind. Nina’s mother is also another link to Nina’s personality. I believe the overbearingness of her mother plays a major role in Nina’s life. I felt like the director meant to give the audience a sense that Nina’s hostile environment is also another factor. Nina’s mother was an ex ballet dancer, and only wants Nina to be successful. She inflicts her dreams on her daughter. I feel there was nothing really positive that Nina gained through her road to success of being a ballet star as black swan. Nina’s life is consumed with nothing but ballet and quickly develops an unhealthy obsession with the role. Basically I got impression that Nina was a Schizophrenic. She was hallucinating, and seeing things in herself, people, and everything around her. She seemed to be paranoid about everything, and she barely had any trust in not only herself, her peers, and her mother especially.…
