That's what makes it so hard – for all of us. We can't forget.has hidden deeper within herself and found refuge and release in a dream where present reality is but an appearance to be accepted and dismissed unfeelingly – even with a hard cynicism – or entirely ignored. There is at times an uncanny gay, free youthfulness in her manner, as if in spirit she were released to become again, simply and without self-consciousness, the naïve, happy, chattering schoolgirl of her convent days.…

Lady Capulet tries to convince her daughter, Juliet, to marry Paris by telling her how beautiful he is, how he has many good qualities, and how he needs a wife. Lady Capulet uses a metaphor to describe Paris to convince her daughter to marry him, comparing Paris to a book of love that is missing a cover. After Lady Capulet encourages her daughter, Juliet, to see Paris’s beauty by telling her to examine his features, she expresses, “Find written in the margent of his eyes. This precious book of love, this unbound lover, To beautify him only lacks a cover.” This quote demonstrates how Lady Capulet uses a metaphor, comparing Paris to an interesting book of love without a cover, to convince her daughter to examine him at the feast that her…

Williams’ characterization of Blanche as a character of many layers and different emotions is particularly evident in this scene as he presents her in different lights through different mediums. In this scene, Blanche is presented as afraid. This effect is achieved through Blanche’s actions, which are revealed to us by stage directions. “She looks fearfully after him” this explicitly unveils to the audience Blanche’s reaction to Mitch’s arrival as well as his attitude. The adverb “fearfully” adequately captures Blanche’s true feelings; passing across the idea of fear to the audience. In addition to this effect, the phrase “after him”, directs Blanche’s emotion to a particular person and the audience understands that Blanche’s reaction is due to Mitch’s presence. However, it isn’t just in one instance that we see this fearful response; the passage is littered with actions that give evidence of anxiety, reiterating the point that she does not feel secure. Actions such as her “frightened gasp” show her instability and insecurity, the word “frightened” shows her fear, while “gasp” present her surprise. The audiences is then able to…

In this shot, we see a mid-close up shot of the two characters; Taylor and Maud. Taylor is looking down of Maud, this could represent the type of man Taylor is, a man who is high up with a purpose and also has respect, unlike Maud, a women who just works for me and barely has any respect due to being a women and a worker. This shot is based in the laundry, where Taylor owns and Maud works, the background of this shot is grey and blue to show the audience the dullness and the sadness within Maud as its focussing on her as the directors notes states “in the laundry, we tried to take warmth out and make the colour palette steely and grey” this is when we begin to see the change through her facial expressions, she’s there but her is elsewhere,…

I am Tybalt, a Capulet and cousin of Juliet. I am known as short-tempered, impulsive, and a vengeful person, I draw my sword anytime I can. However I am loyal beyond words and honour the family rivalry between the Capulets and the Montagues with great heart. I will never betray the Capulets. On the day of Capulets’ party Romeo showed up. I recognised Romeo through his disguise at the Capulets’ ball. I can’t remember that we invited him to our party. Why is Romeo here? What is his intention of showing up at my Uncle Capulet’s ball? He is a Montague and I loathe all the Montague because they are our enemy. He is not allowed to come to our party. I would have killed him or make him leave the ball immediately if not forbidden by my uncle. He stopped me because he didn’t want to make a scene at the party. I could have choose to disobey my uncle but if I do that he will be mad at me so I have no choice but listened to my uncle. However I won’t let him live so easily I will make his life miserable. I will take revenge on him next time I meet him. Therefore I have a plan, I will fight Romeo at the city centre but I will be banished if I start a fight with him. In that case I will provoke Romeo at the city centre of Verona so he will start a fight with me. When the prince found out that Romeo starts a fight with me he will banish Romeo from Verona forever instead of me. I sent a challenge letter to Romeo for a duel to the death and vowed to meet him later on. I didn’t know if Romeo will show up but I went off to look for him after the masked ball. Instead of finding Romeo I found his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio. After Romeo arrived, I confronted him to fight with me, but he refused. But his friend Mercutio winded me up after that so I started a fight with him. Romeo tries to stop us, but I stab Mercutio. I ran away after I stabbed Mercutio but I still have my sight set on killing…

The wind was harsh in Maycomb that night, the moon a meer pearl in a black sky. I sat in the chair in my study, cringing from the moonlight emanating from the large window, as if it, too, would burn my skin. I tapped my pen, thinking about the Finch children. Why was I so intrigued with them, with who they were? Maybe it was because I felt as if they were like me. Their father, being so brave as to defy the societal norms, must have raised them like him; to respect all people, no matter the color of their skin. They were so young, so innocent, and I did not wish to see them harmed or looked down upon. They looked up to me, that I knew; why, I didn’t. I did not want them to end up like me; a coward that hid from what he was afraid of. I wanted them to do something about it. I was hopeful that they would.…
