Monkey's Paw Short Story
Monkeys Paw Rewrite

The cosmos shifted in it’s own beauty ,the colors of the distant galaxies a beacon of light in the hypnotic abyss of deep space. With the flow of the universe like a vast unending sea, was a ship, large, strong, and beautiful. All of the windows of the ship gleamed with the distant dance of stars older than any life. The hull of the ship was as hypnotic as the void, reflective, and hidden within the grasp of the it. It was the year… uh, 2 million, and uh, six! Yeah, six. In this ship a man named Henry was playing chess with his son,the archaic wooden pieces danced across the board, their stance seemingly bias to his so-. “ WOW, WHO EVEN PLAYS CHESS ANYMORE IT'S NOT MY FAULT I'M BAD AT IT!” said Henry, ANNOYINGLY!”

He then ran to the copy of his birth certificate hoping for the best. However, he lost all hope when he saw the fedora. Fedora guy left his fedora on his birth certificate. Something was going to be seriously wrong. Also what were they going to call fedora guy now, Completely not suspicious obviously normal guy because he's not wearing a fedora!? Icy lifted the suspicious hat and found something horrible! Bob had written in crayon “A normal name!”and , as evident the author was no longer annoying, but really annoying! What was Icy now “a normal guy” going to do? I don't think that you need to ask by you wished for a “normal name”.” yeah, yeah i got that.” a Normal name said. Now a normal name did not know what to do, he did know that the monkeys paw was bad juju and decided to no use his last wish as a last resort.he thought about it for days. At the end of The Monkey and the Monk, the pilgrims acquire the scriptures and, thus, fulfill the task of their journey and please Bodhisattva. Yet, she points out that “within our order of Buddhism, nine times nine is the crucial means by which one returns to immortality. The sage monk has undergone eighty ordeals. Because one ordeal, therefore, is still lacking, the sacred number is not yet complete.”(Wu Cheng’en, 470) Even though the sage monk performed tasks that were supposed to lead to immortality, Bodhisattva suddenly says that his deeds were not sufficient unless the pilgrims performed one more ordeal for the perfect number of sufferings. This behavior of Guanyin is problematic – why would she suddenly insist…

The Monkey’s Paw, written by W.W. Jacobs, is a short story about the consequences of messing with fate. Mr. White is a simple man living with his wife, Mrs. White, and his grown son, Herbert. One evening Sergeant-Major Morris, a family friend back from India, visits them and shows them a monkey’s paw he had gotten there, saying that it will grant a man three wishes, but that it was made to prove that when you mess with fate, bad things happen. Even with the warning, Mr. White uses the monkey’s paw to grant his wishes, and soon pays the price. I think the theme of this story is basically, “Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.”…

The wind flowed across the streets, carrying the sounds of laughter and happiness. I shivered slightly as I turned to my friends and breathed in the cold air. Nathaniel looked at his watch, “It’s seven forty-five, we have about thirty more minutes,” I glanced at my friend, he was wearing a black robe with a mask that had blood dripping down it and it was as scary as a nightmare about Jingles the clown. He was a grim reaper sort of thing. Audrey was a drummer and was wearing an AC/DC hoodie and black boots and holding two Hard Rock Cafè drumsticks. My friend Tom was Donald Trump. He had a Donald Trump mask and was wearing a suit. Rushabh was a knight and Aysha and Miranda were Hogwarts students. Sammie was a “Hooded Hunter” and I was an angel.…

Our simplest words are often the deepest in meaning: birth, kiss, flight, dream. The sculptor Constantin Brancusi spent his life searching for forms as simple and pure as those words—forms that seem to have existed forever, outside of time. Born a peasant in a remote village in Romania, he spent most of his adult life in Paris, where he lived in a single small room adjoining a skylit studio. Upon his death in 1957, Brancusi willed the contents of his studio to the French government, which eventually re-created the studio itself in a museum (1.1). Near the center of the photograph are two versions of an idea Brancusi called Endless Column. Pulsing upward with great energy, the columns seem as though they could go on forever. Perhaps they do go on forever, and we can see only part of them. Directly in front of the white column, a sleek, horizontal marble form looking something like a slender submarine seems to hover over a disk-shaped base. Brancusi called it simply Fish. It does not depict any particular fish but, rather, shows us the idea of something that moves swiftly and freely through the water, the essence of a fish. To the left of the dark column, arching up in front of a patch of wall painted red, is a version of one of Brancusi's most famous works, Bird in Space. Here again the artist portrays not a particular bird but, rather, the idea of flight, the feeling of soaring upward. Brancusi said that the work represents “the soul liberated from matter.”1 A photograph by Brancusi shows another, more mysterious view of Bird in Space (1.2). Light from a source we cannot see cuts across the work and falls in a sharp diamond shape on the wall behind. The sculpture casts a shadow so strong it seems to have a dark twin. Before it lies a broken, discarded work. The photograph might make you think of the birth of a bird from its shell, or of a perfected work of art arising from numerous failed attempts, or indeed of a soul newly liberated from its material prison.…

A suspenseful and horrific piece of literature, “The Monkey Paw” is written by W.W Jacobs. A quaint family of three receives an unusual monkey paw that is capable of making any three wishes come true. Despite the caveat of a curse attached to the paw, the family chooses to make a wish, evoking from the story a suspenseful attitude as the reader becomes wrapped up in finding out the Smiths’ fated ends. With the combination of W.W Jacobs’ settings, characters, and foreshadowing, the theme of the story, “that fate cannot be decided upon by man” is delivered pointedly and with style.…

I think I can believe you.”…
