Medical Surgery Persuasive Speech
You might say bullshit when you read this, but when you meet me, you will be like...ohhhh, now I get it! My voice is really, really unique. Why you ask, well I was born with paralyzed vocal cords. I was born not able to make any sound at all. Imagine for a second being that delivery doctor. And I picture yourself asking, well how does this guy talk, can he even work for us? The answer is yes, yes I can, through the magic of medical surgery. Six major surgery's to be exact. That's just a voice though. The thing that my voice has allowed me to do is gain a perspective of the human condition that very few people can achieve. I know what it feels like not being able to tell your story, emotionally and physically. So when I look into someones eyes,

So, you were talking to your dentist about dental implants and he mentioned you'll need bone grafts before any implants can be installed. This procedure literally adds bones to your gums and is necessary when your gum bones have atrophied in the absence of teeth. If that sounds scary, it shouldn't: bone grafts aren't that big of a deal. And they're often necessary for returning your smile its original luster.…

Where the Incision is Located Inframammary incisions are the incisions that are made in the breast's bottom crease, where the chest wall meets the lower protrusion of the breast. You will probably be instructed to wait at least 2 to 4 weeks before getting back to doing upper body exercises if this is the location of your implant. In the meantime, you should not lift your hands over your head during recovery. When you minimize the stain on this part of your body, it will result in healthier healing which is discrete and the scar is easily hidden. There are some different incision techniques, where the downtime is reduced dramatically.…

Using cyrotherapy for warts, or cryosurgery, is a standard medical treatment for warts, but how successful is it? I believe that when someone is up front making a presentation, it is very important that people are able to hear you talk. I know I have a loud voice, and when I do public speaking, I have no problem with people being able to hear me. Another strength that I have is being animated. What I mean by this is being able to change my voice when needed and using my hands to try and make a point when needed. This is important because it keeps the audience listening and shows that I am trying to make my speech interesting. The last thing I would think is a strength that I have is the ability to make constant eye contact with my audience. This is also very important because keeping good eye contact tells the audience that you know what you are talking about and have confidence in your…

Thank you for your informative post. You stated “Health care providers, allowing illnesses to worsen, rather than taking care of the issue at the time could potentially lead to a rise in health care cost due to unnecessary doctor visits and care for further complications.” I agree with your statement. The longer health care providers allow patients to suffer without surgery can cause the patient to visit the doctor unnecessarily because of pain. The unnecessary visits could cause an increase in tax and health care for individuals not insured by Medicaid.…

In the article, “Unlock your voice”, Mary morris discusses how important it is to speak up, and find your voice. She gives us a glimpse into her childhood, where it all started before she finally found her voice, she states “ when I was in first grade, my class performed a school play to celebrate abraham lincoln”. After weeks of her rehearsing and practicing, when it came time for her performance she couldn’t say her line, she “stammered and sputtered, and in the end someone else said it for her”. This is something that many people fear when they think about public speaking, such as myself. Sometimes it even starts to eat at you and make you run the other way, it even makes you alter your decisions in your life, and makes you question, just like morris why this happens?. Morris, later finds out that studies have shown that “something happens to young girls during their development that gives them stage…

Ever since I was a little girl, one of the first things that people have noticed about me is the volume of my voice and my extreme talkativeness. Through my lack of an “inside voice”, I have found that there is a true art to silence, which I have yet to master. I have come to terms with the fact that I will never have a soft, graceful, or soothing voice, but I do occasionally feel self-conscious about it. Although my loud voice and my talkative nature has made me feel socially awkward at times, it has also made me feel social and unintimidated in speaking to new people. This “flaw” has enabled me to overcome my nervousness when faced with a group of…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…
