In this world death and afterlife still remains to be a mystery. Many people believe that they will go to either heaven or hell. It can be true, but until this present day, still there is no scientific explanation that can support the arguments. The word death can be defined scientifically or through spiritual belief. Base on scientific explanation, the word death can be describe as the permanent cessation of all biological functions that sustain a living organism. Phenomena that commonly bring about death include biological aging, predation, malnutrition, disease, suicide, murder, and accidents or trauma resulting in terminal injury. On the other hand, through spiritual belief the word death is described as the next journey of our life.

Till this present day the nature of death still become the greatest concerns of world’s religious traditions and philosophical inquiry. Not even the greatest philosopher can answer the question that has been around in human societies for millennia. When it goes to the discussion of afterlife every religion has their own stand. Based on Buddhism and Hinduism, the moment when a person past away it means that they start a brand new life; this is known as resurrection or reincarnation. Whereas in Catholic, Christian, and Muslim they believe that they will go either to heaven or hell in their afterlife.

In human societies the question “What is the meaning of life?” is often asked, but the question “ What is the meaning of death?” is rarely asked. As we progress in life soon or later we answer the question “What is the meaning of life?” by itself. However when it goes to the question “What is the meaning of death?” still there no proper answer for it, this is because no one can break or unfold the mystical of death.

To those that have soul and spirit, such question will always flow in and out from their mind. Why there is death, what is the meaning of death to those that is alive? Is it true that death is that narrow?...
