Mask of Zorro
Introduction
Movies can be described as a ”cultural mirror”, a valuable reflection of attitudes, philosophies, values and lifestyles because they enlarge and enrich the frontiers of our knowledge. Needless to say, we can enjoy a movie and also learn the culture, the language, the customs and the traditions of people from different countries. Obviously, a successful film inspires and emboldens us to strive for a better life and this will help us to improve our way of thinking. My research paper consists of three chapters , each and every one of them bringing information and critical notices about the characters from ”The Mask of Zorro”, especially about Anthony Hopkins who is one of my favourite actors and about the legend of a such popular name nowadays, El Zorro. I have to specify that I went into ”The Mask of Zorro” not thinking very much about it. I had heard about this movie for almost a year, and I wondered why it had taken so long for it to be released, if it had any special thing in comparison with other movies. Therefore, I am here to tell you that the film was satisfactory. The movie was shot very nicely, the swashbuckling, sword-fighting scenes were breathtaking. As I mentioned above, I admire Anthony Hopkins, being one of my favourites. He is well known as a highly convincing actor who enters into the skin of the character he is playing, making it hard to perceive the difference between the character he is playing and the man himself. Certainly, many films have become popular and acclaimed worldwide, but over time fewer remain etched in our mind and soul. One of the movies that I would watch again and again is ”The Mask Of Zorro”, primarily, for the fact that Anthony Hopkins is one of the main characters that stars in this film.
