Major Events Of The 1920s
Throughout the history of America not many decades are as popular as the twenties. There are many things that contribute to the fame of the twenties. Such as the traditions and customs that began also the many revolutionary ideas that caught the attention of many historians not to mention all the major events that toke place that still fascinate till date. The twenties played a major rule in American history because during that time many events occurred that are still fascinating till date, also this was the period that many of our customs and traditions were formed, but it was also the beginning of many revolutionary ideas that really caught our attention. During the twenties many fascinating events happened that still surprises our society till date. One of the examples of this is the fixing of the World Series. Even though there is no concrete evidence of the crime nor the slightest idea about who did it but the proof that it was fixed is strongly believed by historians of our age. Another one of the events that happened was the start of Miss America. The reason Miss America was so important was at that time in history women and young girls did not have any thing to do in life except get married and have babies. One of the major customs born in the twenties was the building up which gave birth to skyscrapers. Also women started cutting their hair short in the twenties it was called bobbed hair. The Ziegfeld follies started there own trend of dancing that is copied by many dancers of recent for example the show girls in Vegas and the rock heads.
