Macbeth As A Tragic Hero
Macbeth is the main character from the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. This

type of story is called a Tragedy. “Tragedy is very bad event that causes great sadness

and often involves someone's death.” (Merriam Webster) He is an powerful, credible

and well respected member of the city, which he has some authority in.

I think Macbeth is a Hero, the kind of hero tragic.“ A Tragic Hero is a literary character

who makes a judgment error that inevitably leads to his/her own destruction.” (Tragic

Hero Defined bisd303.org). At the beginning of the play, Macbeth Shows a fair amount

of courage. Macbeth was not afraid to go into battle or confront someone who was

Macbeth saw that part of the witches prophecy came true and he was confused why all

of it didn't come true . Ever since then he wanted more and more power, he wanted to

be king. As I have previously stated “A tragic hero is a character that makes a

judgement error” so when Macbeth spoke to the witches that is exactly what he did.

Lady Macbeth had a big part of Macbeth's transformation from a hero to an tragic

hero.Macbeth was a good guy and he doesn't have any villain in him but his wife does.

After the the witches gave the prophecy she was the one that push Macbeth to pursue

the crown and throne. Lady Macbeth was the one who made the plan to kill King

Duncan. Of course Macbeth could have not seen went through with it but he didn't.The

bible says “Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” (New King James,

Bible 1 Corinthians 15:33) The Evil company was Lady Macbeth and the three witches.

Macbeth and Lady Macbeth did not have God on their sides. Have you ever heard the

saying,“Everything happens for a reason”? Do you believe it ? Well I firmly believe
