Lumbar Spine: A Case Study
DOI: 1/15/2002. This is a case of a 70 year old female bus driver who sustained a work-related injury when she tripped and fell. As per Omni, the patient was diagnosed with lumbar degeneration over the L4-L5 and L5-S1.
As per medical report dated 06/08/15, the patient complains of increased numbness, tingling and weakness of bilateral upper extremities and left lower extremity as well as increased neck and low back pain. She continues to exercise regularly.
Upon examination, the patient ambulates in an antalgic gait favoring the left. On examination of the lumbar spine, flexion is limited to 50 degrees with pain, extension is limited to -5 degrees with pain, right side bending is limited to 20 degrees and left side bending is to 15 degrees
