two young british boys stuck on and abandoned on an island during World War 2 that really don’t like each other. They can’t seem to get along . If you put them in a room together they would start fighting in less than 5 minutes. They have fought on numerous occasions, both verbal and physical. It came to the point where they made two separate tribes because if their different point of views. This caused havoc on the island, Jack’s tribe stole things from Ralph's tribe because they were so focused on other matters such as having fun that they were missing the one thing that they so desperately needed, Fire. Jack, leader of a tribe says “ maybe if Jack acted like a normal person he wouldn’t need me for fire.”
Jack became so desperate he raided Ralph’s tribe while they were sleeping to steal the conch and Piggy’s glasses, the one thing that would provide them with fire. At that point both of them were not liking eachother anymore. It came to the point where they got into a physical fight over the dumbest thing. The two could not seem to come to a compromise with both tribes. Jack and Ralph simply wanted different things.
There is no diversity with citizens of the community. Everyone has the same birthday. Nothing about these people is different. They have no choices what so ever. They aren’t even allowed to pick which job they have. In this community a group of elders watch you until you reach a certain age and they assume what you would want as a job and then they assign you it at their annual ageing ceremony. But, at the same time they put in these restriction to keep the things that are ruining the world such as racism,judgement, and prejudice. People have different faces but they all pretty much all think and act the same. They are taught by the rule of sameness. They have to the most perfect language. There is pretty much no such thing as love or hope. There is expectations and they live by them
