All of my goals meet the criteria of being DAPPS for many reason. Receiving a GPA higher than a four will help me to achieve my long term goal because it is dated. I plan on getting a GPA for every term of every school year in the future of my high school career. My goal is also achievable. Applying myself in all aspects of life is to volunteer, to focus on school work, maintain friends, maybe get a job, and all other things like that. Doing these things allows me to have unique experiences in life and maintain a decent application and resumé, along with manage my mental health. Volunteering, working, and extra curricular activities are all things colleges and employers look for. It is shown that having friends is extremely healthy for the brain and emotions. By applying myself, I can have an easier time getting into my dream college. This fits all of the DAPPS criteria because it is placed all through high school (date), with effort it can be done (achievable), it pertains to me and I’m the only one who can do it (personal), doing it is for the better not the worse (positive), and it is for a certain reason

When it comes to my education my short-term goal is to finish out this school year and maintain my current GPA. I find it easier to motivate myself each day if I have set in stone grade goals in mind. My long-term education goal is to finish my Associate of Applied Business degree in spring 2017 and my Associate of Arts degree in spring of 2018. I have enough classes and credit hours to finish a second associate degree in two part-time semesters. My short term career goal is to continue where I am until I graduate and learn as much as I can from those around me. I find that the people around me at my current jobs are very intelligent and it would be wasteful of me to not learn what I can from them before I move on. My long-term career goal…

I’m attending Monterey Peninsula college on a short-term basis Until I transfer to a four year university. Education in my family has never been an option and I have always been pushed to further my education. I myself value my education because it will enhance my knowledge of whatever career I decide to pursue. Learning in general to me has always been important, I love discovering things I’ve never been introduced to or heard of before. Like Dr. Seuss once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”. I chose to attend MPC to explore my options and figure out what career I want to pursue. One of my short-term education goals is to get good grades in all of my classes this semester (my first semester of college) and to create my ideal career plan. A long-term goal of mine is to complete all of my…

There exists this pressure on my generation that we must have our entire lives already planned out to a T. Even as a fifth grader, I remember a prompt on a state test asking “Describe your lifetime goals and how you will achieve them.” This question is asked throughout our lives in different variations but the point remains the same. What are you going to do with your life? Asking me this prompt throughout my years in high school would have given you 4 completely different answers. Just a couple months ago I would have given you a different answer than I would have now and I’m sure a similar story can be said for almost any student. Lifetime goals evolve as we mature and grow throughout life, and my high school career reflects these changes.…
