Loneliness In Sarah Teasdale's Poem 'Fear'

Thinking about loneliness can easily fear people’s minds, and can cause depression, anxiety, and insecurity. Loneliness is an emotional state in which a person experiences a powerful feeling of emptiness and exclusion. In the poem “Fear” by Sarah Teasdale, being lonely can bring out the darkness inside them and overtake them. This poem does not represent my theme of courage in that it describes not having the ability to overcome isolation. The author says, “As long ago when they would take the light / And leave the little child who would have prayed, / Frozen and sleepless at the thought of death.” (3-5). The author says"taking away the light" as an another way of saying how darkness is filling the area, and now the person is all alone, scared
