Learning Experience
In life we encounter many positive and negative experiences. Both help to mould and shape the people we are, and the person we ultimately will become. In this essay I will discuss significant learning experiences that were important to me, and how they affected me.
The first learning experience I will discuss is something that I find I use every day. One day I sat in class discouraged about numerous assignments, projects, and tests that were due soon. I found myself overwhelmed and frustrated at the thought of getting all this done. It was then that teacher at my previous school said “No one ever became successful by doing nothing, get up and go be successful.” It was there, at that very moment that I realised no matter how stressful life may become to be successful I have to carry on. From that day on I found myself doing more. I put more time and effort into everything I did.
My second learning experience was my first broken heart. This broken heart in no way has hindered me from loving again, but I learned a lot from this painful ordeal. What does not kill you will make you stronger. For one I learned not to give everything to an underserving person. I learned to be more cautious about who I trust. Not to be naïve to believe everything a handsome face says to you. I always try to see the good in everyone and through this experience I learned that just because you see the good in a person doesn’t mean they are good for you. It is through a broken heart I learned not to settle. This experience has helped me to grow not only into a better woman but a better person.
Lastly, my third experience is single handily my most significant experience. Being the eldest of two sisters is so special to me. Playing such an important part in developing a human being has taught me responsibility. From there births I was always told that you are the oldest be a role model. At first I hated it. I could not understand why I was in trouble for things that they did. Now I

Life is comprised of a series of learning profound learning experiences. On that stands out occurred last year in seventh grade. Two friends and I decided we wanted to try something new, to learn how to play basketball! We made that decision mainly because we wanted to do an activity together for the winter term, and seventh graders didn't have the option of doing the winter school play. We were very hesitant; only one of us had any experience playing basketball, and we didn't think it would be very fun to run up and down a court trying to get a ball in a hoop. Still we kept an open mind and began to learn how to play.…

I have learned that I have potential I have not been utilizing. Previously, I could not find time to engage in other activities besides class work, yet I did not perform exceptionally well. I have discovered that I can live a more holistic life without compromising the time spent on studies. Planning has enabled me to visualize what needs to be achieved and decide how to achieve it. I learned that my poor performance in school has been the result of little or no practice. It has also shown me that personal skills are important, and they are not as difficult to learn as I thought earlier.…

The career plan building activity: reasoning aptitude helped me realize my strengths and opportunities. The results in the strength category were lower than I thought they would be. I scored the highest on adapting to change and that was the one that I felt I would have scored the lowest because I do not do very well with change unless I am prepared for the changes beforehand. When it came to researching, taking initiative, being innovative, organizing, and delivering results, I score 3 out of 5 possible points. I felt that with organizing and taking initiative, I would have had a higher score because I organize everything and I tend to take the initiative in a lot of situations at work, with school, and in my personal life.…

This kind of fear can sometimes prevent us from unpleasant situations.
