Freedom isn't what people think it is. People have the idea of peace freedom confused. In
Roosevelt’s speech he says “an equally basic essential to peace is a decent standard of living for all individual men and women and children in all nations” (Roosevelt). Absolute freedom would be completely savage as stated in “Learned Hand’s I Am an American Day Address”. Freedom is ruthless and it is not one anyone would actually want.
You might want to argue that freedom is what everyone wants. But, in our society if we had no rules or standards to live by we would be completely lost and our society would crumble so would we. What we need in our society is unity we and peace.

Three months after doing this Germany surrendered (Roosevelt). If we choose to not focus on personal, selfish, or political interests at home. We must not be overconfident either. Overconfidence is our greatest enemy during war. Becoming overconfident causes war production to slow down and stop. Our attitude can lengthen or shorten our war and it can also cause more of less soldiers to die.
We need to have a stable economy for our people so that we can create a peaceful environment for our people. If costs are always on the rise because of farmers expecting more then our people will always be anxious about money. As our nation grows by size and stature our industrial economy expanded all of our political rights were inadequate to prove equality for our pursuit of happiness. If we have a national service law it will prevent strikes and provide work for all able-bodied adults. This law and many others with ensure that living costs will stay down.
Freedom is very important to a society. But, too much freedom can cause savage behavior. We have rules and standards placed for a reason. Without them our society would fall to pieces
