Lafayette Escadrille Character Analysis

3. Lafayette Escadrille = Lafayette was the aristocratic “hero of two worlds” according to my text book. He was the one who fought right next to George Washington himself, in the American Revolution. Lafayette was a great leader. For an example Lafayette lead a National Guard. The National Guard is a large middle class military service that was created to respond for the arrival of high class troops in Paris. The Guard group that Lafayette helped lead were one of the first groups to create a tri-colored badge. The colors on the badge were red, white, and blue. What blows my mind about this, is that Lafayette somewhat played a role in making the French flag because later in history France used those same colors to create their national flag.
