Lady Aeris: A Narrative Fiction
All is silent in the grand hallways of the magnificent palace. Stone walls tower above a floor decorated with a red carpet, which leads to a tall throne carved from marble and lined with dark furs. The throne is encrusted with black opal and embellished with gold, and on both sides sit 3 thrones each, all proudly displaying gemstones of the colors of the rainbow and intricate patterns of marble. The silence is broken as a young human girl, maybe twelve or thirteen, steps into the room. She is wearing a nightgown and a bear fur cloak is draped around her shoulders. She stumbles to her throne, plopping down in it with a yawn. A halfling man, dressed in a sharp tuxedo, enters the room shortly after. He unfolds a petite folding table.
“M’lady, your drink,” he says, placing a cup of hot cocoa on the table.

Mister Auri and the rest of them will be arriving shortly, and the heroes should be coming today as well, if the crystal ball spoke the truth.” Wesley explains. “Goodness, Wes! You’re right, I can’t let the heroes see me like - like this!” Aeris exclaims, gesturing vaguely towards her exhausted form. “I’m supposed to be much more imposing, not to mention I should make a good impression.” She stands up, striding across the hall. Aeris flings open the doors to her walk in closet, immediately tossing aside various articles of clothing that sit in piles on the floor. Her closet was the one of the few places she didn’t let Wesley into whenever he liked, which resulted in a significant mess compared to most of the other rooms in the castle. “Do you need help, m’lady?” Wesley calls from the doorway. “I’m good, Wes, don’t come in here. Did you move that one dress I always wear? It’s not on the ground next to the dresser like it always is.” Aeris says. “I moved it onto a hanger in the ebony wardrobe.” he says sheepishly. “I know I shouldn’t have been in there, but you need to take better care of your

he central ideas discussed in the text are if the bones found are of the princess Eadgyth . Archaeologists doubted that the bones were not of the princess. This was due to the fact that some of the bones had been relocated. The details I found in the text that support my first central idea is that the archaeologist wanted to confirm if the bones belonged to her. The archaeologist wanted to measure the strontium isotopes in the teeth. This would lead to the knowing of where the residence of the person was. They would also test for the age of the skeleton and origin of the skeleton. The tests were released and confirmed that the princess was the owner of the bones.…

The halls of the palace may have been glamorous and opulent, but there wasn't a word grand enough to describe the throne room. Extraordinary gems gnarled in gold filigrees bedecked Emperor Leroy's trophies for the world to behold. Amongst the collection, Ramesses identified the standard of Elthem, the head of a unicorn and the sacred cloak of Zephyr.…

The audience knows the woman sitting in the throne is of high status because of the amount of jewelry she wears. The woman wears snake bracelets and armlets, presumably made of gold, on both arms. She wears one on each of the lower and upper arms, which adds significance of her power and wealth. The artist leaves just enough amount of her upper left arm uncovered by the robe to expose the snake armlet. Her high status is also shown in her thickness of her body. She is fleshy rather than a skinny female which we can assume that she is wealthy and can afford food. The woman also sits on a cushioned throne that is decorated with an eagle as arm support and the leg of the chair with lion’s paws. The throne is lifted onto a slab that represents her significance to anyone who is below her.…

There are many large security guards standing strategically around the feasting table dressed in palace robes and turbans. The long table is covered with a white linen tablecloth, silver and pewter platters, goblets and utensils that reflect the candlelight. There are several people seated on bright pink and red satin pillows. They surround the table awaiting the servants to bring their feast. The majority of the men seated look like Indian dignitaries dressed in jeweled turbans and robes. They all have dark hair with long mustaches.…

There were two more pieces of furniture. A heavy, dark leather chair made its home in one corner. It obviously had seen plenty of use in its day. Next to it stood a round table supported by three ornately carved, curved legs. This room ensemble was then complemented by a large Persian rug. And how I loved to sit in the middle of the room and trace the carpet's intricate motifs.…
