When I started writing this article, I felt like what can I write about the city that hasn’t been said before? why is the city so different from other cities and after a lot of pondering, I found the answer .Its different because it’s a city with a Soul of itself whose pulse is its people, with all their virtues, scruples and humility. There’s a famous saying, that once you visit Kolkata and imbibe its serenity and bask in its aura, you can’t help but admire its atmosphere and fall in love with the City of Joy. The most integral part of the city that keeps the vibe of the city alive is its people. Bengalis or ‘Bongs’, which they are lovingly called as, are the most warm, friendly and not to mention ‘laid back’ kind of people you’ll ever come across, no wonder Kolkata personifies Bengali’s affinity for culture, their intellectual bend of mind, the complete clarity of their emotions, their animosity for hypocrisy and insincerity and the victory of humanity over all other facets of man’s survival.

In short if you want a city with a fast pace and decadence ,Kolkata should be the last place you would want to visit but, if you want a city with a heartbeat, harmony and where moments spent with friends over a cup of ‘chai’ will etch an indelible impression on your mind ,Kolkata should be your one stop destination. Another USP of Kolkata is the plethora of place that you can visit
