King George The First Charge Analysis
The colonists have 3 main charges on King George the 3rd. The first charge is the Quartering Act, that wasn’t fair to the colonists. They had to house the soldiers that they hated with despair! The second charge was “Taxation Without Representation.” The colonists had no idea they were going to be taxed. The King just gave them the taxes without any notice. The last charge was The Boston Tea Party. Samuel Adams and the Sons Of Liberty boarded three ships and threw 342 chests of tea overboard! This pulled us even closer to war.
The Declaration Of Independence is good because we have our own government, we have more benefits, also our colony will be Hello!

    This proved very troublesome to the empire because no freedom fighters have ever committed such a heinous crime against the British Crown. The great loss of tea was a substantial amount totaling well over 1.5 million dollars. One of the key players was Samuel Adams, who did not stand idly by while his comrades were treated unfairly. Eventually, Defiance would be the Sons of Liberty’ only weapon against the King. Samuel Adams was a patriot who believed in fairness. People who try to hinder American Freedom would not remain in power, a government that oversteps will face the freedom fighters. King George was so furious by the Boston Tea Party that he administered a watch program where all colonists in Boston were subject to a strict curfew. If the curfew was not honored than severe punishment swiftly followed. King and Parliament responded in punitive fashion with the Coercive Acts, also known as the Intolerable Acts. In correlation for the destroyed tea Boston port was closed until the Dutch East India Company was reimbursed. Massachusetts Government Act put Massachusetts Government under direct British control. Boston was placed under Martial Law. The Act that rallied up the American the most which caused the American Revolution was the Quartering Act.     As a patriot there are many reasons why I, Patrick Henry, dislike King George III (3rd). One of the many reasons is all the taxes that were passed by parliament. He started taxing us on sugar; or known as the sugar act. One of the worst things was the taxation without representation; they would tax us but not represent us. The one thing that didn’t involve a tax was that we couldn’t print our own money; we wanted our colony to print the money not Britain. Nobody except the loyalist wanted to keep King George III; well actually they didn’t want to disobey him. All the things he was doing was unfair to us, we had no benefits. The financial problems of Great Britain complicated the situation even more than it already has. They started out taxing us on stamps; they knew we needed them for official documents. Then the Townshend act was put into effect, that’s when we were taxed on goods which included basic items such as glass, tea, paper and lead. We had to import them because we didn’t make them. We all are just tired of all the taxes that parliament imposed. We felt like only our representatives had the right to tax us. After the Boston tea party happened, they set out the intolerable acts. They closed the Boston harbor until the Massachusetts colony paid for the ruined tea. The laws took away many of our rights, they were also making the Boston people shelter soldiers in their own homes. Those were just some of the reasons why I disliked King George III (3rd). I think it wasn’t necessary to tax us, people could barely afford food for their families even before the taxing started. What King George III (3rd) did just isn’t the right thing to do.…

    1. The grievance that stands out the most to me is the one where The King kept standing armies among the colonies even in times of peace.
