Random Act of Kindness and World
Just be Kind by Tanvi Allada Our world is very vast, and we are all very small. Sometimes we just can’t seem to think of a way to make the world a better place to live in. However, we can change the world by doing “small things with great love” as Mother Theresa once said. We can slowly improve the world by being kind.
What is kindness? Kindness means that we recognize that others are fragile--that we have the ability to hurt or heal them--and we choose to be healers. When we are kind, we don't take advantage of our power or of other people's weaknesses. Instead, we try to comfort, encourage and strengthen those around us. Of course being kind to others might seem difficult at first. But just ask yourself this question, “Do we really want to live in a happy world?” The answer for most people is yes. Sadly, the solution makes a few of us frown. The gateway to a better world, is giving to others. Think about this: “If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion” stated Dalai Lama. Some of us may feel that, if we give too much, our generosity will be taken advantage of by others. Nevertheless, we can do random acts of kindness like donating small amounts of money to a charity or giving toys to the unprivileged kids, without seeking reward. This not only benefits the receiver, but it makes the world a better place to live in.
Regardless of how big or small an act of kindness is, every time we give we receive. It is the law of cause and effect, also known as “karma”. It works like this, for every action there is a reaction. Let’s just make sure our actions are good.
In conclusion taking time out our lives in order to enrich the lives of other people will make us feel good. Kindness brightens our world. When we are kind to people, it makes them happy. The more people who experienced kindness from us, the more happy people will be in our lives. By recognizing someone’s need for help and acting on it in a nice

For some people they have the best life and get everything they need and want for themselves. For some people on the other hand they don't have it that way and get the short end of the stick. For the people you see and help It comes straight from the heart because they don't have it easy and from me to them I realize that by helping them just a little it could jumpstart them to a fresh life and show them we care. I realize that I have as much as I need and I always ask my parents for money and to go out places but some people don't even have homes or food to provide and eat. By helping out a needing hand it makes me realize that I don't need everything in the world and it should help other people realize to that by looking at the life you have if you're rich or wealthy to help someone in need is the right thing to do and what I like doing best.…

My favorite scripture that best describes giving to others is Luke 6:38 and it states: “ give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (6:38, "Bible Gateway passage: Luke 6:38 - New International Version")As Christians we should always be there to help give and support others in their time of need as we may never know if whether or not we will be in a circumstance where we are in the other individual’s…

The Kiwanis International Club held a survey where they asked when is it important to help out others? 75% of people believe in helping others when it will have an important impact on not only their lives but on other people's lives. When asked what type of community service makes the biggest difference, ⅔ answered hands on activities such as donating supplies, volunteering with a local service club, or participating in local community events have a bigger influence than just giving out money (Most Americans Believe One Can Can Change the World). Today, because of the sacrifices and achievements of many strong leaders, others now have their independence from countries, they have the right to vote, improved working conditions, or just an opportunity to be a better person. According to the survey on volunteerism done by the Kiwanis International Club, 86% of Americans believe one person can make a change (“Most Americans Believe One Can Change the World”). If this many people believe that humans are capable of making a change in the world, then the only thing stopping us from improving the world is us. As a quote by an anonymous person states “If you’re searching for that one person who will change your life...take a look in the mirror”; humans are the future of the world, and to live prosperous lives, we should be willing to help improve not only our living conditions, but to not be selfish and lend a helping hand to others in need as well. What the world is molded into is because of us, and as John F. Kennedy once said, “Making a positive difference in our own life or the lives of others, organizations, and the world at large starts with a healthy mind, body, and spirit, and a change of daily thoughts, communications, and actions of our own self…

As people mention the virtue, generosity, they always conceive of an image of a wealthy philanthropist who donates his money to people in need. However, in my opinion, the concept of generosity exceeds the narrow connotation of giving to others, and not only can rich people become generous; rather, generosity comprises of empathy to share others’ feelings, magnanimous tolerance towards other people, and returning to them with kindness.…

Staying out of your comfort zone and doing things with people that harm you and people you would normally never be around is a great way to be compassionate. The only way to get to where being compassionate towards everyone is to practice and continue to live an unselfish life. Showing empathy towards people good or bad and remembering that just like me, everyone wants to be happy and not to suffer. So by following what the Dalai Lama says I would try to help anybody that is suffering to be happy no matter the cost to my own…

Now a days alot of people are really selfish and self-centered. Few people worry about others, and that is very depressing be\cause everyone should be concerned about other. In the book "To Kill a Mockingbird," when Jem and Scout were getting attacked and Boo wasn't selfish and he went to help them. Boo was concerned for them and for what was wrong with them so he went to protect Jem and Scout from Bob Ewell. What Boo did was an act of kindness and unselfishness, that is what we need now a days. Another example is when my mom was sick and instead of letting her clean and struggle, I cleaned the whole house and dropped my little siblings off at daycare for her. I knew that by doing this I helped her rest her body, and she would be proud and…

The 14th Dalai Lama once said, “This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple. The philosophy is kindness.” Dalai Lama explains that kindness is what he believes in. It is what he worships and it is what he bases his life choices upon. I relate to the Dalai Lama because I believe in the power of kindness, too, among other beliefs. Being kind is something very beneficial and aiding for me and for other people, as well. Just the simple things, such as telling someone they look beautiful, or just saying “Hello” could change a person’s day. The power of kindness is very immense, and can create a contagion in an instant. Kindness has been something I’ve believed in my whole life.…

How this theory explains the behavior: To be able to give back to the community and engaging in a selfless act places a larger meaning to my and my family’s life that material possessions could never replace. To be able to look among diverse faces with the same smile and see the gratitude in their faces makes life more purposeful. It brings out the positives and potential in our lives that can truly make a difference in the world we live in. Acts of kindness mold my children and others into caring individuals who value people and their differences without judgement or…

    Definition Of Generosity

What is generosity? To some, it's giving more than you have to individuals that might need it more than you do. To others, it's trying to make people smile, or make someone's day a little bit brighter. Being generous does not mean that you have to give money, sometimes you just have to give time and attention. Every person has a different definition of what it means. Anne Frank states that "No one has ever become poor by giving." Is that because being generous makes your heart feel rich? Frank A. Clark says "Real generosity is doing something nice for someone who will never notice." If no one ever acknowledges when someone does a considerate deed for them, why does generosity spread? In this day and age, people broadcast…

Before, I was all about myself, I knew what I needed and knew what to do to get what I needed. But since I have had this experience I have decided that giving is the life for me. I now see that I am not the only person in the world that has needs, and I am also not the only person in the world who struggles to meet said needs. And I believe that if I lead the rest of my life giving, I could inspire someone else to give, too. Luther was all it took to start the peasant revolt. That alone is enough proof that if one mind changes, several will follow after it. If we all become giving citizens maybe we can all find our inner…

By performing a kind act, one makes the world a slightly more pleasant place to live. It’s like that series of commercials where one person sees another person doing something inspired or heroic, and then at a later time makes a point of paying it forward. This happens again and again. It is the Golden Rule. I’ll be the first to admit that putting this principle into everyday practice is tough, when you live in this fast-paced society. It was only yesterday, that I didn’t yield to my fellow pedestrians during evening rush hour when I was stuck in traffic en route to pick up my grandson from school. Later, I felt guilty and ashamed but it was too late.…

    People Helping People

My interpretation of “people helping people” is “people helping people” can be looked at as a selfless act of encouragement to one individual or a whole community. By helping those with a certain need to only get the profit of satisfaction is a fundamental philosophy to keep our society well-endowed and strong as a community. I have personally demonstrated this in my community by participating in my school’s Operation Christmas Child to help children across the world see what a better life is and to help them reach it on earth, and with God. I also volunteered for four summers at our City’s Park’s Program as a junior counselor, watching children and giving them a place to enjoy their summer outside and also educate them as we took field trips to the Corning Museum of Glass. I personally have lived by my own interpretation of the selfless philosophy of “people helping people”…

Well, here is one way you can help others while even helping yourself. Volunteering fulfills a need for someone while improving your mental state, self-esteem, and it makes others want to volunteer as well. In order to make the world a better place, people should volunteer to help others. Volunteering fulfills a need for anyone in need of service or care. When you volunteer at a soup kitchen, it fulfills a need for someone who is hungry. While fulfilling a need, you will feel yourself to be happier. Volunteering improves ones mental state and self-esteem. Research shows that 96% of volunteers say…
