Jungian Personality Assessment
After taking the Jungian Personality assessment, I found out my personality was “ISTJ - The Duty Fulfiller.” According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISTJ, ISTJ stands for Introversion, Sensing, Thinking, and Judgement. PsychCentral.com describes ISTJ as serious and quiet, extremely thorough, responsible, dependable, well organized and hard working. I feel like these words describe me almost perfectly, both how I see myself and how others see me.

First off, I scored introversion rather than extroversion, meaning I am quiet and reserved. True to the description of introversion, I would rather associate with a few close friends rather than a whole group of people. I value good friendships over the amount of friends I have. I also scored

I feel this is true of me to some extent, although I try to apply myself in every subject, no matter how unuseful or unpractical I think it is. It is true though that it is easier for me to learn if I know that the skill will help me throughout my life. ISTJs also pay close attention to detail and won’t rest until they understand completely or they feel the job is done properly. This absolutely describes me because if I don’t understand a concept I will keep trying it until I get it right or comprehend what I’ve done wrong. Whether I am doing schoolwork or drawing for pleasure, I won’t give up until I know I’ve done my best or given it my all. My prefered learning environment is task-oriented where a clear schedule and assignments are provided and I prefer learning activities that allow time to reflect and think. I know this is true of me because I dislike feeling like I am rushed on an assignment or not being informed of due dates. When I don't have much time to do something I feel as though I can't do as good as I know I can. ISTJs respect facts but have a hard time valuing or considering an idea that is different from theirs. They also devote all of their energy to achieving a goal and avoid things they do not deem as practical. They prefer to work alone but will work in teams if necessary. ISTJs take accountability for their actions and like roles of responsibility.

According to the Jung Typology Test, my type is considered introverted, sensing, feeling, and judging or ISFJ. ISFJ characterized as always desiring to give back to others; often taking advantage of by their peers. Individuals of this type are very family orientated and have a small collection of close friends as well as possessing strong loyalty ties. Ironically, I see myself very much under the description of what an ISFJ is because I have a strong need to be needed. Sometimes I find myself overworked, but I never seek appreciation because it feels wrong to me. My family is always the top priority, my friends are the ones that I can always go to, and my loyalty is unbreakable. Even, the personality type pinpoints career aspirations in medical…

After taking the Myers-Briggs personality type test, I received the ISFJ personality type: Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging. While reading the description for ISFJ, I could agree with what it was saying almost one hundred percent. The description stated that ISFJs by their desire to serve others and obtain the “need to be needed.” I found that this description fits me very well: I often feel the need to serve and be needed by others. I enjoy helping out in ministry, at home, and within other homes. For example, this past Thursday my boyfriend came home from his working training in Los Angeles, CA and he stated that he needed me to help him pack before he left to travel the states for work. While doing some of his laundry and packing his luggage, I found joy in serving him in this way.…

Similar to the ESTJ in that the person has a great focus on taking in facts and making logical, clear decisions, the main difference is the way in which the ISTJ communicates to others. Being an Introvert does not necessarily mean that this person is shy; rather, being an Introvert usually just means that interpersonal communication takes more effort and energy to do effectively than Extroverts. ISTJs function on the principle of quantifiable, measurable means of data and actions, and thus are very effective at analyzing situations and processing a decision to be made and held to in a very short amount of time. ISTJs are very determined, and will usually pursue a job or a goal in an effective and efficient manner. When they see other people that do not follow through on their goals or responsibilities as the ISTJ would, this causes the ISTJ to become frustrated, as others inconsistency is something the inhibits their…

Generally a person that falls under ENFJ, usually has great interpersonal skills, enjoys helping others, and does great at multitasking. I have always had the passion of helping others. That is one of the reason I decided to major in Christian Counseling. Since I was a child I have always been taken pride on doing things on my own without needing help. One thing that stuck out to me as I read about my type of personality was being vulnerable to getting your feelings hurt by others. Since I was in grammar school, I can recall being very sensitive. In the Myers-Briggs Type indicator/Jung’s Typology Test results I scored ENFJ, which stands for extrovert, intuitive, feeler, and judger. These results seem extremely accurate to me. I do enjoy spending time with people, talking to them, and trying my best to understand them. People fascinate me yet I find it difficult to open up to the people around me, which is a common characteristic among ENFJ’s. Being intuitive, I tend to look at the big picture rather than detail. I rely on my gut rather than my conscious. As a feeler, the decisions I make tie in with the values I grew up learning, leading with my heart and naturally gravitate towards people. Lastly, as a judger, I am super organized! Having a preference towards planned and settled activities.…
