He was never supportive of Caesar, and truthfully never loved him.(Musaj and Prezi Inc.) To some extent I agree with Brutus because all Caesar wants is power and dictatorship and he will do anything to get it. For example, before Caesar is crowned he declares himself a god. Once Caesar goes down that path he is never going to go back. He is going to end up hurting the Roman empire more that helping them. For intense when Brutus says, "I know no person cause to spurn at him, But of the general. He would be crowned." this shows that Brutus loves Rome more than he loves Caesar. Therefore it does make Brutus an honorable man but to kill Caesar doesn't make him anymore honorable.…

Brutus is the complete opposite of Julius Caesar. He is too worried about what the common people of Rome will think of him. His honor is his strongest trait but also turns out to weaken him in the end. Brutus was arguably the most trustworthy and honorable man alive in Rome at this time. He always made his decisions on which would please the more people, not always on what was right. He trusted people way too much and they did not provide the same level of trust back to him. “not that I love Caesar less, but that I love Rome more.” This quote shows that brutus wanted to please the people of rome more than anything. Even though Brutus knows he did the right thing he still feels guilty for what he did and he is haunted for what he did and is punished when Caesars ghost appears to him. Caesars ghost haunts Brutus and tells him, “…thee thou shalt see me at Philippi” (III iv 305). Caesar has indeed predicted that Brutus will die like Caesar did and he will meet up with Caesar soon. In my opinion this is the worst punishment to give to someone who had to kill a friend to save his people from the harm he believed his friend would do. This is even more reason to make Brutus a true hero.…
