Juanes And Cafe Tacub Song Analysis
Showing affection through lyrics
Artist like Juanes and the band Cafe Tacuba use their songs to show affection for someone they care for. This is a common theme in a lot of Latin American music to express their emotion.
In Juanes’s song Es por ti some of his lyrics talk about the appreciation of someone, for example “Soy el que quererte quiere como nadie soy” talks about how being and caring for that one person Is all Juanes wants. Similarly in Café Tacuba’s song Eres the topic of how they feel when they see that person they love, For example “Eres, lo que mas quiero en Este mundo, eso eres” in which they talk about how they fell towards a person. Another example of the person caring deeply for their love is “Que late mi Corazon Y es por

One of the songs I chose is named “Mi Gente”, which is an Urban Latin/pop song which is frequently played at South-American parties (From personal experience). Mi Gente is an upbeat song which happens to be in the top 20 songs in Canada. I feel this song relates to me on a personal level in multiple ways. For instance, listening to the song with no meaning other than to enjoy the song, it would probably sound pleasant or delightful. Though if you examine the lyrics thoroughly, you will uncover the deeper meaning (one example being “From corner to corner, but I have it in my hand”). This song exemplifies me because maybe the first couple times you meet me, I might seem calm or ordinary, but if you really…

I wanna be contigo, and live contigo, and dance contigo, para have contigo, una noche loca”. This is the chorus to Enrique Iglesias’ billboard hit, Bailando. If you listen to the song you can hear the rhythm of reggae, hip hop, Spanish flamenco, reggaeton among a cacophony of other sound. I hear beauty, see color and feel joy when I listen to this song. The success of this song according to Gary Trust, associate director of charts is due to “the fact that a quarter of this country’s youths are Latino. He comments that the market is so diverse that Latino artists don’t have to pick just one language or two.…

I listened to the Latin American praise song “Te Doy Gloria” and I listened to the Christian praise song “endless praise” by Planetshakers. “Te Doy Gloria” message was giving Jesus the glory and just magnifying how wonderful Jesus is. The song Endless Praise by Planetshakers has a similar message, also singing to glorify Jesus and how we should praise him continually. Both of these songs are glorifying Jesus and the importance of how we should lift the name of Jesus on high. Also, both songs proclaim the beauty and wonder of Jesus but do this in different ways. Although, after listening to both a couple of times I still like the song “endless praise” the most. The reason I like this song better is because it goes more in depth about Jesus and…

Twenty One Pilots is an alternative/indie band made up of two members, Joseph and Josh Dunn. They are known to occasionally rap and include specific tempos and beats that correspond with each song’s thought provoking lyrics. In the song “Oh. Ms. Believer” by Twenty One Pilots they use the analogy of snow to describe a young girl going through depression. The band accurately describes the feeling of being trapped inside one's mind as they go through the hardships of this mental illness. Although at first this song may be interpreted as another cliché alternative hit, the meanings hidden beneath the lyrics are sure to tug at the listener's heart strings as he/she looks through the eyes of someone who struggles with a loved one who is depressed.…

I enjoy listening to this song anyways as it is in my native language and one of my top childhood songs. The song is about a couple who is in love with each other but when the guy has to leave for the US, they broke up. He later returns and the love is still there. This is a very cute story and I love singing the lyrics that describes his feelings for her as he was away. If I broke up and get back together with my boyfriend, I would want this to be our scenario, that we broke up and got back together because of distance or circumstances, not because we wanted this. I also love how there are english lyrics sung with deep emotion in the song: “I will be back for you.” The music video for the song is also very heartwarming and brings a smile to my face whenever I think of it. If I got back together with my ex, I could listen to this song to remind me of my feelings for him. This song is a great song that evokes strong emotions from me and makes me think about love and how strong it is to overcome lots.…

The breakfast club has one of the most unique and memorable soundtracks of all time. Something that made the movie gave it such a memorable track and the movies “theme song”, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by the band Simple minds. Something that the movie did that not none to many movies had done at that point. They used this song twice, once at the beginning at once at the end. The two times this song is played in this movie, each function is shown. It shows genre because the movie was release in 1985 and this is around the time new wave music (the song’s genre) became popular. It sets the mood both at the beginning and at the end of the movie. It sets mood at the beginning because of the tempo and rhythm makes…

Love is an extremely powerful emotion. Kiera Cass, David Benioff, Taylor Swift, and Doris Lessing all use love in their compositions. In The “City of Thieves” towards the end of the book, Lev and Kolya’s bond is extremely strong. Secondly, in “The Siren”, the love between the Ocean and Kahlen develops throughout the story. Thirdly, in “Through the Tunnel”, Jerry expresses his love for his mother. Lastly, in Taylor Swift’s video Taylor loves her crush, and he develops the same love throughout the video. In The “City of Thieves”, “The Siren”, “Through the Tunnel”, and Taylor Swift’s music video, the author’s all employ dialogue to reveal love.…

My selected theme song I believe personally portrays my attitude and outlook towards life is the song titled “What Can I do” by Tye Tribette. Composed by two individuals (Angelo Mincey and Kj Scriven), this song is one of many on his album titled “Greater than” which was released in 2013. The genre of this song which was released under the record label EMI/Motown gospel is classified as religious R&B. I chose this song, because I believe it adequately represents my thankful and grateful attitude towards life. Since the evolution of mankind from (primitiveness till today), it is almost incontrovertible that man has always relied on some form of ‘higher power’.…

“Keep love in your hearts. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.”-Oscar Wilde Wilde hints at, that without love, your heart is like dead flowers in a sunless garden. Whereas, if there is love in your heart, your garden is full of blooming flowers. Love is a strong connection between people or objects that means a lot to them. In “Death and Transfiguration of a Teacher” Solari expresses the love between money and poetry. However, “The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World” portrays love between two unique people. In the stories “The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World” and “Death and Transfiguration” both Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Maria Teresa Solari embody love as a metaphor throughout the story.…

    Love In Troubadour Poems

    • 1073 Words

In the troubadour tradition, love is both a thing that the poet pursues and a thing that pursues the poet. It can fulfill the poet and drive him crazy at the same time. The troubadour poem that I have chosen to help prove this is the poem, "On true love are all my thoughts bent." This poem is in the troubadour style of canso, or "love song," as opposed to being a sirventes, or "political song." Like in minnesinger poems, many lines in this poem have rhymes, which means "the pattern of repeated sounds in a poem," that contribute to the flow and the romanticism of the poem. I believe that this poem expresses the idea that love is both a great and terrible thing in that it is great because love brings the poet honour and in him it brings out a true heart. But love is also terrible, as shown when the poet's service to love brings him only pain and torment, and when the poet talks about how he sins in loving her for he can never be with her.…
