Alphonsus, it is simply beautiful. From the stained glass windows to the beautifully decorated ceiling, it is truly a site to see. But The cross and artwork behind the Alter never fails to amaze as it is the primary image of God in this celebration. This cross with Jesus upon it is the first thing I notice when I walk into the service. Not to mention St. Alphonsus has an extremely talented choir, singing their hearts out led by Mr. Joe. All of this makes me feel very connected to the Mass ongoing—it would be quite boring praying in a dark, plain room. Due to all this, there is most definitely a sense of community. Although it is not as strong of a community as Providence, all of us lay people come together as one as is seems that we are no longer strangers. Unfortunately, I do not necessarily have a sense of mission after the celebration of the Eucharist. After thinking about this, I realty have never have been inclined to go out and spread the word of God just when I receive the Eucharist. More so, I feel motivated to go out and serve during the Homily. I never realized the Eucharist was supposed to inspire me this way until I came to Providence, as there is much more of an emphasis on our Mission during the celebration. Every Church is different, and although my Church is not perfect, I enjoy the community dearly and would not change much about
