John Proctor Sacrifice

According to Martin Luther King Jr. “the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience ,but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy.” This quote is basically saying that you can’t judge a person when they're in their comfort zone. That in times of Great threat and dispute, you can see if that person is capable or strive for victory. Through the use of characterization and conflict, this quote is shown to be true in the plays of The Crucible and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. In these two play, the characters were forced out of their comfort zone due to the situation they were in and during that they made sacrifices to save themselves or others.
John Proctor, a simple man from The Crucible is characterized by Miller to be honest, trustworthy, and hardworking,but yet he possess a flaw, he committed the sin of lechery.
When Elizabeth found out, she kicked Abigail out and there were great tension between John Proctor and Elizabeth Proctor.
