Preparing For a Career in Public Safety

Deciding a career is a major step in setting goals & determining you’re further. In our life we may have several different employers, but may only have one career. A job is different than a career is. Depending on what generation you are from has a difference on how you look and view things differently. Once you have chosen your career path, the next step is to take action to get the career you have chosen. There are many reasons why I’m interested in the jobs I selected. The first job I selected was Forensic Science Technician. The reason this was my first choice was because this has been the type of career I have always been interested in. CSI has always been the type work I would enjoy doing. Whenever I watch this show I try to solve the crime before they do. To be able to help law enforcement to solve crimes would be a wonderful opportunity and career. To be able to bring the offender(s) to justice and get justice for the victim(s) and their families would also be a wonderful opportunity. The second job I selected was deputy U.S Marshal. This has also been a career I have been interested in just like the FBI also. The opportunity to make a difference in this world and others lives would be a wonderful feeling and an amazing opportunity to make a further in. To have the chance or opportunity to have a career with ether of these jobs would be an opportunity that only a few ever experience in a life time. Just to have a chance to make a difference and offer so much to a team and agency would be beyond words. The job skills required for either of these jobs relate to my professional goals in many ways. My career goal is to be a crime scene investigator and maybe be working for ether the US Marshall or the FBI. All the job skills for both selected jobs relate not only to my current profession but also my career goal. These skills are wonderful skills to have in just everyday life and would make a great attribution to any employer and company. The strategy I would achieve the skills needed for the jobs I selected are to get an education. The next step would be to get some experience behind me that would help in the career I choice. Many of these skills are skills that can be taught and taught better with hands on experience. Some of these skills cannot be taught. You either have these skills or you don’t. Although to have the career I want will require a lot of hard work and dedication, it will be worth it all in the end. Even when the challenges and walls may be hard to overcome I must keep pushing forward. In the end it will be worth it all. Not only will I benefit from this but my family will too.
