Feeding of the 5000 : (6 : 30 – 44)

Jesus said to them “Let us go of by ourselves to some place where we will be alone and you can rest for a while” so they went out to the boat. Jesus got out the boat and saw a large crowd and his heart filled with pity because they were like sheep without a shepherd. He began to teach them but later his disciples said to him “it’s already very late, send the people away and let them go nearby farms and villages in order to buy themselves something to eat.” Jesus answered “You yourselves give them something to eat.” They asked him “Do you want us to go and spend 200 silver coins in order to feed them?” Jesus asked “How much bread have you got?” They went to the boat and checked and told Jesus “Five loaves and also 2 fish” Jesus told his disciples to divide the people into groups of hundred and fifty. At the end there was 12 full baskets left.
