Although Jesus was God, he took the nature of a humble, obedient human servant. This obedience even took him to the point of death on a cross for the salvation of humankind.…

As I was finishing my discussion with the Jogger I observed two Mormon missionaries over-hearing my banter. They appeared interested in joining the conversation, as I looked their way one of them inquires of me “If you don’t mind me asking what type of biblical basis can you give for both Jesus humanity and His deity?” Well the Bible leaves nothing up for any private interpretation as the scriptures tell us that Yahshua had “flesh” (physical body) in 1 Col 1:22. We know he was born of a woman (Matt 1 18-25) confirming the first messianic prophesy made by Yahweh to the serpent in Genesis 3:15. Therefore, we know his lineage as a Jewish man (Matt 1) and we know that “he grew in wisdom and stature” like any other human (Luke 2:52). He ate food to feed his flesh (Luke 2:52) and his human soul experienced all mortal emotions and rationalizations. In the Garden of Gethsemane we see the full expression of Yahshua humanity on display as he sweated (flesh) so hard in prayer it was like drops of blood (Luke 22:44). Then, we see human desire (soul) as ask He asks the Father to take this cup from Him however; He yields His human Spirit (will) to the Will of the Father (Holy Spirit-within Him). NOTE…
5. The Christian doctrine of the Trinity defines God as three divine persons, the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. The three persons are distinct, yet are one "substance, essence or nature". A nature is what one is, while a person is who one is.…
Jesus is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that his life on earth, his crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension into heaven are proof of God's love for humanity and God's forgiveness of human sins; and that by faith in Jesus one may attain salvation and eternal life…

This article provides a very in depth look at why God became man. It is informative, full of knowledge and wisdom. It lays out the incarnation and the virgin birth in detail that helps people understand the difference but also the way it links together why Christ came and lived as man and what He did while He was here. He came to reveal God to man, man to himself, He came to redeem man, He came to restrain satan, He came to rescue the whole creation, to restore Israel, and He came to reign. He did much more than just save mankind and give us a bridge to God.…
Christ started out as exalted. He was God from the beginning, but in-spite of this fact Jesus choose to humble himself. In this way of looking at it, we see Christ as exalted, then He is humiliated. Finally we see that He is exalted again. It seems that He was even exalted higher then He ever was. In this exaltation, everyone will declare Him to be Jesus Christ the Lord.…
The fact that Jesus is God and man is difficult for our human minds to get a grasp on. The combination of his deity and humanity is explained in the doctrine called the Hypostatic Union. The union is described in this way. “ In the incarnation of the Son of God, a human nature was inseparably united forever with the divine nature in the one person of Jesus Christ, yet with the two natures remaining distinct, whole and unchanged, without mixture or confusion, so that the one person , Jesus Christ, is truly God and truly man.”…
Lastly is the fact that Jesus is characterized as an actual touchable being, rather then just a spirit. In all four of the gospels, after Jesus returns, he is able to be touched and can move around. In the Book of Luke, 20:27, while Jesus stands among the disciples, Jesus says to Thomas “Put your finger here, and see my hands...” proving to all in the room that he truly was human, rather than a ghost.…
