Risks are Important to Getting Things in Life
William G. T. once said that “A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for.” This shows up in Jason’s Gold by Will Hobbs when Jason leaves his hard earned life in New York, and travels across the nation up to the Klondike to find his brothers and gold. He finds that his brothers already are up in the Klondike, but still ignores the possibility of staying home in favor of taking the dangerous journey up there. Jason is traveling down the river when he stops to kill a Moose. The moose turns out to be stronger than most, making it dangerous. While tracking the moose, he is attacked by it, however wakes up in a cabin with a man who says”when I came, the moose was an instant before putting you full of holes..” (128).
