International Organization for Standardization 9001

ISO 9001 is an international standard that gives requirements for an organization’s quality management system (QMS). The objective of ISO 9001 is to provide a set of requirements that, if effectively implemented, will provide us with confidence that our supplier can consistently provide goods and services that meet or expectations and comply with applicable regulations. It is part of a family of standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) often referred to collectively as the “ISO 9000 series” or “ISO 9000 family”. For this reason, sometimes suppliers refer to being “ISO 9000 certified”, or having an “ISO 9000-compliant QMS”. It is the only standard in the ISO 9000 family that can be used for the purpose of conformity assessment (ISO 9001, 2012).
Companies hire outside or third party agencies for auditing because these auditors are impaneled with national or international certifying bodies’. This brings additional confidence to quality management system of the company. Also the third party agencies impartially audit the company; their complete focus is on quality and is unbiased.
Dura Exports Pvt. Ltd. is a ISO 9001: 2008 certified company situated in Mumbai(India) which exports plastic extrusion machinery, injection moldings, machinery, ancillary equipments, moulds for injection and blow moulding, PET blow machine (Dura exports Co., 2014)
After the implementation of QMS, the company started replying back to the customers who contacted them for the inquiry of their products within 48 hours thus increasing their visitor to customer turnover ratio. This has helped them to increase their sales and generate more revenue. Dura Exports focuses strongly on Customer Relationship Management and Total Customer Satisfaction (Dura exports Co., 2014). They believe that customer needs are explicit drivers of QMS. So they make sure that
